I purchased this sword rack for my hanbo and other martial arts sticks. It is 100%, absolutely perfect for this application. Most of my sticks are 7/8"-1" in diameter and this little set of racks is ideal. Sure, they are made of plastic/chineseium, but they are small and do look nice. My exotic wood sticks are displayed well and become the focal point (not the mini gun racks). They seem sturdy enough, but all 4 of my sticks weigh less than 5 lbs., so how sturdy do they need to be? They don't wobble on the wall and were a snap to install. My only complaint was being shorted a couple of screws. Each rack has 3 screw holes (6 total), there were only 4 screws and anchors. I had some screws in the junk drawer, so no big deal. Ideal for straight wood martial arts weapons (hanbo, blackthorn, Vigny cane), maybe a bokken (MAYBE). These would NOT hold any type of sword. The tsuba would not fit in the rack, since it's so close to the wall. Great for martial arts sticks. NOT for swords. Excellent product for my use. Did I mention these won't work for swords? I did try mine to make sure. NOT FOR SWORDS.
