Smaller than advertised, but the perfect solution for foam mattresses
I made the mistake of not only purchasing a foam mattress, but a fantastic looking yet cheap wooden frame platform bed. It immediately became clear that "no box spring needed" was a falsity, but adding a box spring to a low platform bed is not ideal as then the mattress would be ridiculously high up. For awhile I sank into the mattress as well because it would squeeze through the standard wooden slats.Thankfully I discovered this product. It came in a small box with minimal packaging. It's made out of quality wood that is really sturdy. It also comes in two halfs with a velcro strap that you can connect them with. Installing it was super easy & it being in two pieces made it even easier. I simply rolled one side of my mattress up a bit, slid the vertical slats in then unfolded the slats.Once I finished one half I immediately noticed that it was a couple of inches undersized as the one half didn't reach the center support beam. It was the same with the second half so I ended up not connecting them. Once I layed in bed though the difference was tremendous. No longer did the bed sink in. In fact was much firmer than I thought it would be. It made my foam mattress feel like a regular spring mattress.Sleepwise I have to be honest since it made it too firm I'm not that big of a fan. There's almost no give so it's a drastic difference from the sleeping on a pillow feeling. The bed doesn't creak or flex at all so there's no fear of breaking.Overall, it's a quality product, but they make a version that uses a softer wood as well as add another slat in-order to account for the missing inches since this is definitely not undersized for a king.

Hassle free, easy to assemble
The king size bunkie board was very easy to put on my bed.

As described
Received item two days early. Really sturdy and well made. These grey cloth covered vertical slats works perfectly over my horizontal slats which are bare wood and I wanted to protect my mattress which doesn't require a box spring. The only question I have is why was the inside of the plastic bag it was shipped in damp ? I laid the slats out in the open for a bit so the cloth could dry out. Amazon failed to notify me of the delivery. Otherwise the product is worthy.

Sturdy and easy install
Came in two pieces. Easily fit my metal base and connected with velcro. Make sure to use double sided tape on the bottom in contact with the frame so it doesnt slide. Great product.

Added Support
I recently purchased an all metal platform bed with a lovely headboard I wanted to show so I got rid of my box spring. Unfortunately the frame didn’t give as much support as I hoped, so I bought a 4inch box spring. Still too high to show the headboard, so I looked at other support options. Found this and despite skepticism I ordered. For a queen bed, received 2 sections with 4 slats in each. They were definitely sturdy but not difficult to put on the bed. Stretched out, the 2 sections did not meet the full width, but I spread it out as evenly as possible. They are not secure on the bed, so sliding the mattress on will cause the slats to move. Had my son help me “lay” the mattress over the sections and the weight of it held the supports in place. It added the right amount of support I was looking for but was still able to display the headboard. It’s certainly worth what I paid and satisfied with the product, even with the gaps. The gaps don’t seem to affect the support and despite being unsecured, it doesn’t slide. Glad I bought it.

Not Perfect, But Not Bad Either
We recently bought a latex mattress and realized the slats on our platform bed were spaced too far apart to give it proper support. Saw a couple of reviewers say they bought this board to help reinforce their foam mattresses so thought we'd give it a try. We ordered a king size - and yes I measured...twice! When it arrived it was easy to install but as we unrolled it we realized it was in two separate pieces not one. Fully unrolled and side by side they aren't wide enough to fill the entire bedframe width. However since we were laying this on top of existing horizontal slats it still worked. The boards were a little warped and we thought it might be necessary to screw them down to keep them from moving around, but fortunately our mattress is very heavy, so it seems to be OK as is. Overall not bad, and definitely less hassle than trying to make one ourselves.

Almost as good as a box spring
Almost as good as a box spring. This bunches and shifts if the mattress shifts

Works for my needs
These came fully assembled which was a plus. They hold my oversized mattress well, but I am contemplating get another set to go the opposite direction for reinforcement. My bed is elevated and this makes it so I don’t have to use a stool to get into bed.
