I ordered these water filters for several reasons. They said they would be a replacement for the ones I was using, and they are. The price was very good and they came in a 3-pack. Now that I've installed one it appears to be working as well as my previous filter, it just isn't as big. Don't know if that means it won't last as long (filtering the water) or if it's just more compact. It doesn't look any larger in circumference and it is shorter than my previous filter. Maybe that's why it came in a 3-pack, I don't know. Bottom line is it's working well. I do wish I had received information as to whether I should run some water through it before letting it make ice or drinking the water. I did run abut 8 cups of water through it first, just to make sure the water came through clean.
