Q: Are the paints granulating or have some granulating color? I am looking for some cheaper granulating paints, to create a very obvious gradient.

Don't know about these! You could try using a "granulating medium!" Easy to use with 'most' but not all inexpensive water paints. Differently will not work with those 'terrible' jelly like paints that they are passing off lately as water paints! They are disgustingly useless! They get So sticky, you will ruin any project you try and definitely will not GRANULATE!

Q: Do they dry well in a travel pallet or do they crack and flake off?

???? Don't travel! Water colours should never crack or flake if applied correctly! These are not applied thick like acrylics paints! They are ment for translucency! Light Washes over other dried washes!

Q: When dried on a palette, do these paints reconstitute with water?

All water colour paints can be reconstructed with water after they dry if you know what you are doing. Why would these paints be any different?
