First time she was terrified, but I fed her dinner by hand while brushing until she got used to it. She loves it now, when she sees it she nuzzles it and wants to be brushed. Unfortunately her spot on treatment didn't work for some reason so she had picked up a few fleas. You can literally hear them sizzle, which is very satisfying! I've not tried it with ticks, but if it works this well on fleas it could also work with ticks. Easy to give your dog a quick brush if you've been in a tick area. The ions really do make my dogs coat shiny and refreshed too. I'll be recommending this to my dog owning friends. Review: Our larger dog has a dense, woolly coat and I use this before any other brush and comb as it seems detangle & smooth the outer layer of fur enabling easier use of pin brush, slicker and combs. The ioniser makes it also nice to refresh the coat at any time. The dog isn't keen on the smell given off by the ioniser but ignores it after a minute or so. It's quite a large brush, and as we also have a small dog, I'd like to see a smaller version available too.

Lifemax Ionic Pet Brush with Flea Repeller I bought this because my cat sheds fur like I've never seen in my life and my lounge looks like I must have been shearing a sheep (a grey one)!!! It's typical of her breed, she's a British Blue, very beautiful amber eyes and extremely dense thick grey fur. I bought it because it came highly recommended by a colleague. However .... she detests it with a passion and no amount of coaxing, stroking or bribing works, she just runs and hides and hisses at it, yet she loves being groomed with a normal brush!! In a way this isn't a fair review of the product ... it's more about my cat's reaction to it, but I still wanted to post it to alert pet owners to the fact that it may not be suitable for everyone, it just depends on your own pet. So really the 2 stars are given by my cat and not me !!!!!!

I consider this item rubbish, in fact it's still in the box, i had any sense I would have sent it Bach, but the wife liked it

It's a good idea but the high pitched noise drives the dog crazy so not really useable Teeth too wide apart for hair removal The smell it creates is a little less pungent than dog smell Don't know about flea killing as we don't have fleas Thanks Great idea
