KidKraft Limited Edition Wooden Toy Box and Bench with Handles and Safety Hinges - Cherry, Gift for Ages 3+

I bought two of these, and may just get 2 more. They are PERFECT. I have 2 toddlers and these toy boxes double as benches in my family room for both adults and kids. The tops lift easily and stay open so the kids don't get their fingers hurt, they are roomy and have hidden wheels underneath so I can easily slide them around the room when I want to get a ball or small toy that may have fallen behind it, or when I'm cleaning. The color is a rich cherry- not too dark, not to light, so they are not obviously toy chests to the casual observer. We recently had friends over and they didn't realize it was a toy box until one of the boys opened it to get a toy out. The craftsmanship is great and they assembled easily. The instructions were clear and concise. I highly recommend.

This toy chest assembled easily, is good quality overall for the price and is very solid. The kids enjoy the toy chest because the height is just right and the lid has a dampened hinge that makes it open and close easily and safely. The front edge of the chest is contoured in a way that makes accessing the lid easy without a handle and it is very safe and finger friendly, no pinched fingers! The only thing I'm not crazy about but some people might like is that the chest rolls easily because it is on casters and when a baby that's still crawling up to it grabs on it rolls away from them. I could take the casters off but I'm giving it a little time before I decide. Overall great product!

I wanted to order a sturdy toy chest that also served as a storage piece as well. It was easy to assemble and took about an hour to put together. It’s also very sturdy and that fact that it’s on wheels makes it easy to move around. The added feature totally sold me when I saw that my six year daughter can also sit on it when she is playing. It’s slam proof so it’s takes away the worry of her slamming her fingers. This product adds a nice touch to her room. I would definitely recommend this product!

I was excited about this product after I put it together and filled it with toys. Now I'm very disappointed that the mechanism on the inside to make it close slowly has ripped off, exposing screws and ripping the "wood." I tried to reassemble it but it didn't work. I was hoping to return it but didn't realize I only had a month to do so. Disappointing because I have had such luck with Kidkraft furniture in the past.

We got this toy box to help with the clutter from our two year old's toys. We chose this one because of the safty factor and he will be able to use it for a long time. It is a very attractive piece and seems to be very durable. It was semi-easy to put together and shipped very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone with a young one. The hinge can be tightend to insure that the lid won't slam down...You have to push it closed. Plus, as another reviewer said, he will be able to use it as a seat in his teen years. All in all a very good investment.

The media could not be loaded. I can't describe how pleased I am with this product in EVERYWAY....I think I love it more than my son who's 19 months old....I was able to put this piece together on my own in 2 hrs. I'm.not the type to read instructions cause following the diagrams or illustration photos are much easier for me........this product arrived with no scratches, dents or missing parts... super sturdy, solid wood which can last for almost lifetime (depending.on personal care) I've also made a video to show how it slides and closes easily which makes it safe for little hands....My only mistake is waiting too long.to.purchase cushioned for top bench (which was discontinued my manufacturer) and 2. I picked the wrong color so I will have to restrain to.match other bedroom furnitures ....Nevertheless.....this has been my best purchase ever and will never regret. I'm sure u will feel the same way too.....Happy buy!!!!

This is a beautiful piece of furniture that provides a lot of storage space as well as a bench seat for one or two people. I love the closure mechanism which is very easy & safe for little people with no way to smash little fingers. It was easy to assemble & very sturdy & well made.

Matches my little girls cherry furniture perfectly! The door stays open, and my daughter (11 months old)has never had a problem with closing it on her hands, also helps with curved front. My nephew who is the same age was over and he too had fun digging toys out, and he made a point to slam the lid shut and the toy box held up! I bought this particular toy box because its on wheels (easy to move), and it's taller than many of the cheaper boxes. Worth spending extra on, great quality. Only hiccup was putting it together because our package didn't include instructions, but we managed just fine took a little bit longer than it would of had they been included.
