Most awesome toy I've given my parrot
This is the best foraging toy I've ever purchased for my male eclectus. It's easy to clean, load with treats, and hang in the cage. It's attractive to the bird because he can clearly see the treats and sturdy enough for him to play with and figure out. When I hung it in the cage and my bird immediately engaged with it instead of studying it for a couple weeks, that made it worth every penny. And it arrived from the manufacturer in no time.

Great and entertaining for Meyer's Parrot-sized birds
I'm not going to say your bird won't be afraid of it, but my meyer's parrot was curious and interested in this plastic foraging device as soon as it was in his line of sight. It took him some time to learn and understand how it works, but a few months later he is very adept at one particular door and must fidget with the others to get his special treat. One door gives him problems, but he's working on it. Even when the doors are all open and empty, he sometimes likes to come over and chew on it. Your bird might be afraid of the object, because it can be rather intimidating and large, so I would introduce the toy slowly and invite your bird to come over and play with it. The best way to teach the bird how to open the doors on its own is through demonstration. Put your bird's favorite treat inside and allow them to try for a while, then when they give up, show them how the door opens and give them the treat. Do this until you can eventually escalate to opening the door, tempting them with the treat, then closing the door again for them to figure out. I also found that, because my meyer's was very young when I got the forager, he wasn't strong enough to open the doors yet, so I recommend leaving the doors slightly ajar so your bird understands that it is possible to open the doors on their own. Practice makes perfect!

Good foraging toys for bigger birds (and some smaller ones)
This was purchased for my two clever cockatiels. To use this toy, I place some bird safe, paper based cat litter to prop up the treats as its quite deep for a cockatiel to stand on top and then put their heads in each compartment. After a few months of use, they are able open up each compartment (except one-explained below) when each one has been left open a fraction as the door compartments are stiff. As they are small birds, they have to stand on top of the carousel, which is okay, except one of the compartments has the hinge on the inside (so it opens away from the toy) and when they walk on top it closes so they can't get into it anymore. There are perch like corners, but the cockatiels are too small to stand on this and get treats from the boxes. I was a bit worried given its size that it would spin and the cockatiels would get stuck, so they don't use this toy when I am not home. However, there has been no incidents and I don't think they are physically able to spin it. Overall this is a well made toy and keeps my cockatiels entertained. However, it is made for bigger birds. I didn't give this 5 stars because although its a great toy, I think there could be some improvements to its construction and its a pain to clean.

Sturdy but Not Assembled and Not good size dimensions
It came in pieces. I had to put the screws in to hold the drawers in. The top ones were a bit hard to reach. The toy is sturdy but the drawers are too short and deep. My umbrella cockatoo cannot reach the bottom of the drawer and the drawer won't come out far enough for him to get his head in comfortably. I have to put paper in the bottom and treats on top, or put large foot toys he can reach. He has chewed on it for a week though and it has held up. More than I can say for more things. Pros: Sturdy, holds lots of toys/treats Cons: Some assembly required. Odd sized drawers not good for a large parrot

Great fun for your bird.
What a fun toy! It arrived friday and he was on it immediately. So happy he's worked up to being curious. Mom he is a jardine so btwn a green cheek and an Amazon. Three of them were not tough for him to figure out but he still has fun opening and closing. The other he'll get to soon. He won't destroy it. I might add latches once he's bored. I also might pass it on to the new amazon once she starts playing. I envision at her size some aggressive chewers might destroy it quickly. But i also can tell it will last well for a more timid bird like her. Only lowered a star on durability, sturdy because i can't speak toward bigger birds. But my mid size bird will enjoy it long time before it suffers an6 damage. Happy bird. Happy parent. Good product.
