Vegan Tacos: Authentic & Inspired Recipes for Mexico's Favorite Street Food

I’ve had this cookbook for a few months now, and it has quickly become my favourite cookbook. Yes, you will have to make a trip to a latin market — or make a few online purchases — in order to stock your panty with authentic staples. But it is well worth it! Every week I find myself trying another recipe from this book, and I have never been disappointed.

I liked the history leson but I haven't got to the recipes yet

This cookbook got good reviews so I decided to give it a try. It was an absolute waste of money because it is unlikely I will ever make any of the recipes in the book. I am a fairly accomplished home cook who lives in a city with incredible ethnic diversity and availability of unique ingredients but I doubt that I will be able to find many of the ingredients listed in the recipes. The author also comes off as being quite arrogant which does not lend to a pleasant cookbook experience. I give him credit for his creativity and obvious passion for the subject matter but I work full time and have a family and cannot justify spending extensive amounts of time making tacos or searching for odd ingredients. It's my experience and opinion that the best cookbook authors create recipes that are practical, maybe creative, but definitely doable for a home cook who likely doesn't have two hours to prep and/or make dinner. This is not the cake with this cookbook. I wish I could get a refund for this purchase - that's how disappointing the recipes are. I love to cook and often spend entire days (i.e. weekends) cooking and prepping meals for my family but I can't imagine having the time to work through the recipes in this book.

Es excelente libro fácil sencillo y con muy buenas fotos de las recetas con ingredientes fáciles de conseguir en el supermercado y muy creativos y deliciosas las recetas excelentes veganas !!!
