Purchased for a night time snack and hoping for a vet approved outcome for my fur baby's teeth. Having a cat's teeth cleaned is expensive and my fur babies like the smell, texture and they stay fresh.

I purchased the Purina DentaLife Cat Dental Treats after my ten year old cat Walter's last veterinary appointment where he received a pretty low grade regarding his dental health. Too have his teeth professionally cleaned was over $1000 and they would need to put him under and I avoid that at all costs. Another option was to put him back on dry food but he is prone to urinary tract infections so I was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I decided to give these a try based on the reviews.He has been eating them daily for over a month now and there is a noticeable improvement. It took some time before he would even let me get near his mouth but I went slow putting my hands near his mouth a little more every day until be finally let me open his mouth enough to check. There is a lot less plaque built up on his teeth and his gums look a lot healthier too. His breath is a little bit better as well, but I am hoping it continues to improve. Right now I put about 10-15 pellets in his bowl with this canned food, which is seafood based so I purchased the Salmon flavored, each time I feed him - which is twice a day. At some point I might cut back the frequency and amount, but for now I am going to continue as is for another 3-4 weeks.So yeah, this stuff really did the trick for Walter. Not sure it will work for your cat - it is dependent on if they will even eat them, but for my cat it worked out well. Our veterinarian recommended these treats for our cats as they are starting to build up tartar on their teeth. Other dental treats we tried didn't work because they were too small and our cats would swallow them whole. These treats are big enough that they have to chew them which helps with tartar buildup. They both love the flavor and come running when I pull them out.

The crunchy texture is not only fun to munch on, but my humans say it helps keep my teeth clean—whatever that means. All I know is they’re absolutely delicious!I’ve tried all kinds of treats, but nothing compares to these. The salmon flavor is so good, I come running every time I hear the bag crinkle. If your human is on the fence, let me assure you: these are worth every purr. 10/10, would meow for more! 🐾
