Bought this a few weeks ago and so far very happy. I don’t use it every day but at least a few days a week to help with immune system and energy. This is not a quick fix but a lifestyle change. Very happy and will be shopping here again! & We love Dr. Mercola!

Tastes better than I would have thought and I think it’s already increasing my energy.

I'm a longtime maca user, and I like it as a bulk powder so that I can taste it and evaluate quality directly. This nice little jar of bulk herb is good stuff. It tastes fresh, potent, and tasty. I like that it's certified organic, and that it's from a reputable brand.Everything about this is great, except for the price, which is bananas expensive. This is currently priced at $20 for less than 3 oz! I can get equally good, certified organic maca, on Amazon right now for $20 A POUND! No amount of brand loyalty would ever convince me to spend more than 5 times as much for a similar quality product. I'm giving this 2 stars because of the insulting price, would be a 5 star product at a reasonable price.

I've tried some of Dr. Mercola's items and I liked them. Unfortunately this one looks like it was mishandled and it arrived cracked. I don't feel it's the fault of the manufacturer as I get a lot of things broken upon being delivered from Amazon, so considering it appears to be as advertised, and was properly and safely sealed, I'll keep that in mind but it's really hard for me to rate this one without even being able to try so, 3 stars I guess. Stars lost for the poor delivery.I would have liked to try it but it's not worth ingesting glass shards. Bummer.

Disclaimer: I currently use other Dr. Mercola products. As expected from a known, reputable brand, this maca product exhibits the scent and taste of a quality maca powder. The maca powder is in a gelatinized form, meaning that is has been processed (heated) which makes it more digestible. However, if you use maca in baked goods, or in hot drinks (coffee, tea), it generally affords the same digestible quality. I use maca powder daily, stirring it in my morning coffee. And, there are no digestive issues.I do appreciate that the label displays the USDA Organic badge. This demonstrates attention to the purity and integrity of the maca. USDA Organic checks off an important box for me.At a cost of $20 for 2.69 ounces, though, it is pricey when compared to comparable products. For the same price, $20, you can get 1 lb of USDA Organic Maca from another reputable known brand (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XCJ6T7Y). Plus that product, besides also being USDA Organic is 3rd Party Tested (they also state GMP certified and FDA registered facility). So, this maca powder is considerably more costly.This is a quality organic maca powder, with no discernible ingredient issues. However, the price disparity is too vast to overlook. Thus, this product earns a 4 star rating.

I've heard great things about Maca, so I wanted to give this a try. I live a pretty healthy, active lifestyle- which has a lot of benefits by itself- so I'm viewing Maca as a added bonus to aid in addition to those benefits I already have. So the additions of any supplement outside of my normal routine is just a added bonus. This for women, which you can look it up for yourself- can promote hormonal balance, stress management, and libido, and some other amazing things. I for one look at supplements as a aid, not a fix or a cure; it's more too it than that- of course. But to the extent that it is helping in addition- "why not". Reproductive health and stress management (mental) with the way other factors could wreck havoc on our bodies in general- this seemed like a good plus. I do not have anything to compare it to or other brands, so this is my first try. I did sort of peep around, and saw that for the "amount" you receive from this brand at the price is pretty steep. You may can find other brands just as good, however, for this brand sake you are receiving a very, very small jar 2.69oz for $20. However, what I look for in addition to this is the serving amount/ size- g. vs. mg; which in actuality really makes the difference; plus if other products are adding extra things/fillers you do not want. So when searching make sure you take that into account; because you are getting a decent quantity for this, maybe not the best, but decent. If it's your first time using it, it does has a nutty flavor/taste. I've dry scooped the recommended amount (which I wouldn't advise) and had it with water. I've also, added it to almond milk. It is pretty smooth, not clunky. No adverse affects. I feel pretty good. This has not made my stomach hurt or cause any added bowel movements. I'm usually good at adding things in slowly, so I can pinpoint what is a "no" for me or what I may need to adjust. What I love about this product as I'm taking it, it goes beyond Amazon 30 day return; and allows you 90 days that if you are not satisfied to contact them and they will refund you. At this point, I've only had it for a week. If I have any noticeable changes, I will update further along. Looking forward to any added benefits.
