Voltron, 5Pro Studio CARBOTIX Series

This is hands-down the quintessential Voltron model that all of us fans WISHED had been made back in the heyday...not that we could have afforded it as kids. Absolutely no detail has been overlooked, even down to the box and packaging! Heck, even the brown cardboard shipping box is customized with the Voltron logo! At first, I had some massive buyer's remorse, given the cost...until I started opening it! Every part of each lion is articulated in multiple degrees of freedom... pose it virtually any way you want! Be careful with the blade weapons...they are actually sharp, and they WILL cut you (ask me how I know)! This thing is HEAVY! Black, Yellow, and Blue lions are powdercoated diecast metal and plastic, while Green and Red lions are all plastic (not the cheap crap plastic though). The lions are surprisingly durable...while I was afraid of parts breaking, they stand up quite well to manipulation. My sole complaint was that Green Lion's joints and moving parts were pretty stiff, but did loosen up with use. Still be careful, as many parts are indeed plastic, but stronger than I initially suspected. If you're going to "form Voltron", understand that it takes a while...there are soooooo many moving parts! There are even covers that flip over the legs to hide them so it appears more like in the cartoon animations! It took me 2-3 minutes to get each lion into "Voltron mode".As Ferris Beuller once said, it is so choice...if you have the means, I highly recommend it. This is NOT one of those reviews that are meant to be funny... this model is on par with professional movie props from Star Wars, etc.

It’s still a surprise how big, heavy, and premium this set is. A real rush of childhood nostalgia. I had some FOMO after missing out on a nice release or two over the years but it’s hard to imagine upgrading over this.I wanted to display both ways without adding wear and tear transforming back and forth. I saw a video where one came with cracked and loose hinges. Maybe manufacturing or quality control improved because my first was impeccable. My second had some minor scuffs on the red lion leg panels and a loose snap on the black lion chest. I don’t mind either issue since I’m keeping one set in each configuration. The panels that cover the legs seem like they’ll hold up if handled with care and they’re the distinguishing factor for me for this Voltron.

If you were a Voltron fan as a kid you will absolutely love this incredible masterpiece! Very well crafted and put together from the product down to the packaging. Definitely worth the cost!

omg, u need this. you want this. hands down everything just feels right. I've collected voltron for the good portion of my life, growing up on bots, mecha, transformers, you name it. good weighty feel for the black, blue and yellow lions. not so much for the red and green; feels light-weight and plastiky, but still awesome. they're all fabricated with plastic and die-cast (or some form of heavy metal). i have yet to combine the lions, but will do in due time. once combined will go into my curio case with the rest of the other voltrons. btw, shipping from Amazon, surprising didn't disappoint this time (almost every time, they ship my transformers in a gray plastic bag--yes collectables in a bag!). this voltron came in a big Amazon labeled box, then you have the blitzway oem box, and finally you get our beloved in a truly stunning box with artwork. I'm planning to buy another one. if you have the means, disposable income, pull the trigger, my friend. no regrets.

This is the most beautiful Voltron figure I ever owned. It is heavy, detailed and oh so pretty. It looks like a work of art. Stop reading and just buy it!

This is an incredible product, metallic, poseable, detailed right down to the pilots (wheter siting in the cockpit or standing on their heads like the closing credits) Must have and you definetly get your money's worth!

this is the one voltron that you will ever need to buy.Its just too bad its not made in Japan....its a china product.

This is for real collectors, not a toy. Got lucky and got one for under $400 during the black Friday deals.

I will add more later but felt the need to share. While it looks beautiful and comes with all the fixings....posing this puppy is another thing.Most of the joints will not hold poses. Who wants to look at Voltron standing up straight; not doing anything.Save your $ and get a cheaper version.It does have some ups but this was the biggest let down since it costs over1300$ CAD.

本当は未開封の箱のまま保存しておこうと思ったのですが、いやちょっと待て？クオリティーはTwitter等で非常に良いものだということは分かっているけどやはり海外製だぞ？チェックしないでいいのか？と思いチェックしたところ、ブラックライオンのヒンジでつながっている左肩がちゃんとはまらない状態で梱包されていました…手にとってしっかりはまるようにやってみましたがどうしても右肩のように収まってくれない、何でだろうと左肩のヒンジをよく見ると内部に斜めになった棒状のものがあり、右のヒンジ部分にはそんな棒状のものはなく、それが干渉してヒンジが収納されないことが判明しました。恐らく斜めの棒状のものをカットし忘れたまま組み立ててしまったのでしょう。到着が延びに延びたことは昨今の社会情勢もあるとおもうので、それを急ピッチで製造したためのチェックミスだったのではないか？と想像に難くありませんがそれでも安いものではないのでAmazonさんを通して交換or修理を問い合わせてもらっています。正直初めての海外製のフィギュアがこの5PROゴライオンでそれがいきなりのこの不具合だったのでまだまだ日本のメーカーの管理体制には及ばないんだと感じさせられました。令和4年4月18日
