No signal lost at all!
I had a mohu antenna, the expensive one, and I would lose signal all the time. So I seen this one and read the reviews for it, the guy who said that a technician from PBS told him to buy this antenna, so I tried it. I must say this cheap antenna is the best one I ever had. I started with 36 channels with the mohu and now I get 57 with this RCA antenna and no signal loss whatsoever! Thank you.

Great Antenna
For years i had a large high quality outdoor antenna in my living room. I purchased this to replace the large antenna and get something more appropriate for a living room. This antenna gets all of the stations the large outdoor antenna got, so it is an excellent product (i am only about 15 miles from transmitters). It has an amplifier (which requires plugging in) but i only use it occasionally if the signal is weak due to weather, but the amplifier does indeed clear up a weak signal but is not strictly necessary for my needs. The "rabbit ears" extend to about 3 ft but i have not found them to be helpful. You might have to experiment. Only con is the coax cable is only 6 feet long (75 ohm), but i suppose you could buy a longer cable if you need that. Also it uses a not detachable R59 cable (not an R6, which would be even better). Update: Some things i discovered that may be helpful: i've found if the coaxial cable is pulled up and made into a loop with the antenna placed inside of it as shown, i get stations i cannot otherwise. i've since learned to retract the dipoles and place them flat so they are out of the way. ymmv

Not as good as my original RCA antenna
This looks like my RCA indoor antenna from a couple of years ago, but this one is amplified. It really doesn’t work very well. It is not as good as the original un-amplified version, and the antenna adjustment is very sensitive and impossible to receive all stations with one antenna position.

it works
simple, sits on a desk, looks goodI was surprised the item was not brand new, but I tried it anyway and it seems to work finethis is SO much better than the flexible flat panel antenna I tried which was recommended but picked up only one channel and it was poorly received. This one picks up everything I wanted plus many I have never heard of

Doesn’t get many local stations
It was easy to set up. It’s neutral looking in my decor. It does not get many stations which was what I was hoping for. I do get CBS and a few weird local stations so it accomplishes my requirement for a local news station. And I’m glad to no longer pay for cable or dish. This along with streaming works for me.

Range is about 45 miles
I can get stations about 45 miles in a downstairs window. Picture quality is mostly good but if will pixelate occasionally. One station drops out completely when I adjust my lift chair. I only get 6 stations because that's all there are in the area.
