We used the soap one evening before bed on my Teenage son. He back, but and legs were covered with acne. The next day at shower time, I was amazed how his skin is starting to clear up. A month ago I had taking my son to a dermatologist, and she gave me zinc soap, which was by the same manufacturer that this. It did not work. The dermatologist recommended a soap from her practice that was $15 a Bar. I decided to try this soap and I can’t believe the results in one day. Amazing. I really wish I would’ve taken a before and after picture. I’m going to buy five more bars of the soap.

Since this is only 2% salicylic acid in a thick soapy bar, I found it clogged my pores and left my skin red and breaking out. If you’re looking for acne wash, I don’t recommend this.

Lathers well on face and body

This soap is unscented, mild and foams up into a luxurious lather. I love it!

I bought this salicylic soap to treat my back acne. I've used it daily with a washcloth for about 2 weeks and I don't see too much of a difference yet. I will give it more time, though.I will say that i broke out a lot after a week or so of using it, but the breakout could have been caused by my own hormones, or different products that I used during the same time period (Paula's choice bha salicylic acid, and rosehip oil for hyper pigmentation). Perhaps salicylic acid is not effective enough for my skin.The main reason why i took off 2 stars was not because i broke out, but because this bar of soap leaves behind a residue on my skin even after rinsing well. This gives me the sensation that my pores are blocked and perhaps that causes my acne. I think that with a residue left on my skin, other products that I apply afterwards would not effectively work.This review is for the salicylic acid soap, not the one from the same company that also contains sulfur (which other reviews say smells like eggs). I don't know if the sulfur soap also leaves a residue.I will continue using this daily until the bar runs out. To put up with the stickiness on my skin, I'll probably have to wash twice, the second time with a different body soap
