Same as OEM - excellent quality / perfect fit
Yes I know it's the same as OEM because it is ACDelco manufacture.Well it's just refreshing to see advertising and actual product be exactly as is claimed. It is here. My original starter lasted for 16 years and I believe this one should do the same for little more than the price of having a DNS (Does Not Start) car pushed into the large garage facility nearby my home. This was priced less than the local supply of a rebuilt starter. This swap is very easy for a DIY / backyard mechanic to remove and install as there are only 2 main bolts hold the unit in place and three smaller nuts on the starter itself. Be safe, use jack stands and another just-in-case heavy duty support too. The only obstacle are two transmission lines and the metric bolts on my 2004 GMC. The biggest issue for me was that the connecting wires are hidden from view on the top side of the starter motor and all-too-close (for me, but not for GM engineers) to the exhaust. Just reinstall the nuts and wires in the same manner and then install those two long bolts on the starter and all will be good.I recommend this product. Save Money!

2002 Chevy 1500 4.3 V6 Auto
Nice OEM (made in mexico) starter. Pull ed the oil sending connector, then I removed the starter, rested it on a cross tube, then unhooked the wires. EZ. But the new starter is longer then the 2002 orig one so couldn't install after hooking up wires. So install, then hook up wires. Used a 9/16" (14mm) stubby wrench and for the little wire a 1/4 drive ratchet worked. But your working blind by feel, not too bad really. Then snap on the heat shield and reconnect the oil connector. Lots of youtube vids as well. Glad I paid the extra $50 for the Delco unit. Was $115. The higher up the truck is in the air the better.

Fits and works great
According to the manufacturer, these are new units for the price of a re-man so as far as I'm concerned that's a plus.I initially thought my 6 month young battery crapped out and thought the local auto center was giving me the company line "our battery is good no replacement warranted" . So I ordered this unit, I was surprised at first that the physical size was actually a bit smaller, but a read through the paperwork showed all the units this replaced. The good news is this thing works like a champ, the truck (2004 Sierra 6cyl) starting is practically instantaneous. Gotta love it when things just plain work.

Great Part for the Price
After an hour I managed pull the dead starter and rotate and spin this bad boy into place. After that feat getting the electrical connection was a pain as well. I'm a YouTube mechanic so your experience may very. The part functions as it should and starts the motor without fail so far. Glad I spent a little extra and didn't buy a cheap Chinese starter.

As pictured?
Starter came painted black so I question whether or not I got the "gold" starter. For the first week the starter hung up and made a grinding noise after releasing the key. After that it has behaved as expected.
