60"x32" Washer/Dryer Drain Pan

I purchased the combo Washer-Dryer pan after reviewing all the competing products, and it is even more well-made than I expected, and well worth the cost. The name "Duraflex" is kind of a misnomer - because this is a large pan, for both a washer and a dryer, it has a rigid backing bonded to the back of the pan, which makes it very strong and rigid, with no "flex" at all. On the back side, instead of seeing basically the underside of the plastic pan, with its contours, lip, etc. as you see with cheaper products, in this pan you see a smooth bottom, which is a sheet of hard material bonded to the plastic which stiffens it up greatly, and makes it more like a sandwich material rather than just a single layer molded pan. I am planning to raise the height of my front-loading washer and dryer by building a riser out of 2X6's with a 3/4" plywood top (which will make the riser about 6-1/4" high), instead of purchasing pedestals for my washer & dryer, and this pan will be mounted on top of the plywood as a good-looking finished surface for the machines to sit on. But it would be equally at home with the pan sitting on the floor with the machines sitting right on the pan. The pan comes with a loose floor drain type fitting which can be installed in the pan to use as a drain if desired, but it can also be used without the drain, as the user drills the hole for the drain wherever he wants it, and if he doesn't want a drain, the surface is unbroken and water tight, with a nice tall lip. A good accessory for the pan (especially if it's not drained) is a set of automatic water valves, such as the FloodStop valves. The FloodStop water leakage sensor can be placed in the drain pan, and the automatic valves will shut off the water supply before the water can overflow the lip of the pan.

Great product and the only tray I found to hold both a washer and dryer together. The reason for the low review and my only problem is the depth, it’s not deep enough for the dryer to fit within the pan. This is my fault for not measuring correctly but we did want them both in 1 pan. To fit our Cabrio dryer the pan needs to 36” even better would be 38” deep because the pan has a 1-3/4” lip on all 4 sides which you loose area to catch water. You may think this is odd that we want the dryer to fit within the pan, the reason is our Cabrio dryer has a steam feature so we have a water line connected to the dryer. The front and back of the dryer extend past the capture area of the pan. If we possibly get a leak from hose connector or the front the dryer we will have a problem. See attached pictures.

This was a great purchase - it's very sturdy and our new LG machines fit in it perfectly. It seems very sturdy. We bought it because our floor had some big divots. We wanted to protect the floor and also have both machines at the same level. So far, so good.

Washer dryer pan is very sturdy and well built. We were even able to rest the washer on the edges of the pan during install without any cracking or breaking. Hole for drain can be easily drilled in whatever location is best for your home. So far we're happy with the purchase.

This was the solution we were looking for as we remodeled our house and moved the laundry room to the second floor. Clean and has some flex, so you don't have to worry about breaking it.
