An Illustrated Guide to the Apostle Paul: His Life, Ministry, and Missionary Journeys

I have really enjoyed reading this book. It basically follows the book of Paul's journey through the book of Acts with references to the letters he then wrote to the churches. It also points out a lot of history of Paul's time and the geographical features of the land as he traveled from city to city. It is easy to read and follow!

I read this with my husband, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! I am not a New Testament scholar so Dr. Bandy's writing style in this book was helpful. Bandy combines archeology, geography, and biblical text in a way that gives the casual reader a full grasp of the ministry of Paul.

Awesome book! I read for enjoyment and to use as a reference for my adult Sunday School class. Easy to understand and I loved the photographs and maps. Highly recommend!

This is the second book I’ve read about Paul. It’s extremely informative.

Must have this resource to understand Paul's life. His constant travel and ever changing companions are sorted. Great book.

The author weaves together the Book of Acts by pulling in Epistles and third party sources to provide explanations of Paul's journeys. He creatively gives the historical context of the places, people and events of the time. I am very pleased with this book.

This book was well written. It was easy to follow and the author took you into each city that Paul stopped by along his journeys and introduced the city and the people that Paul met along the way. He brings in outside history, dates, pictures and maps that pull the whole story together. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will look for other books by this author. I encourage you to read it!
