This template does exactly what it is supposed to do. It allows a draftsman or architect to lay out designs that have ellipses included in them. A draftsman, for instance can draw three design views of an object including several semicircular curves or they can draw one in isometric format using this template and only have the one drawing to do. This makes it much easier to lay out objects, buildings, new tools, etc. and get them finished in a way that still makes it easy for them to be built or made. As i said earlier, it does what it is supposed to do and if I needed to buy more of them I would do so. This applies to any of their other templates as well, since that are all made to the same structural specifications as far as strength and sturdiness go. They are a good deal for their price and I definitely would buy it again if it were ever needed to be done.

I bought this template to draw ovals on wood to make earrings. My wife loves it, and uses it quite a lot. (I have a huge stack of earrings to cut out!)There are many options to choose from, and it's great that the ovals are so varied. A 60 degree oval is nearly a circle, and the 20 degree oval is very stretched. It is very easy to draw all of the ovals, and the semi-transparent green makes it easy to see exactly where you are drawing.The quality of this template is very good. It is 0.75 mm thick and very sturdy. I would expect this to last pretty much forever. It's great to have the ovals marked for size.Each oval is slightly larger than the dimension shown. This is done to allow for pencil thickness (this is stated at the bottom of the template).Conclusion: Highly recommended! There are lots of ovals to choose from, and this template is very well made. I also recommend this circle template: Westcott LetterCraft Large and Small Circles Template (T-831) As you can see in the image, this template makes great ovals!

There should be alignment crosshairs at the degree of isometric inclination as well as the ordinal alignment marks

There are no mysteries to this sort of template anymore. This one works as well as any other brand. It has the dimples to keep the template off the paper a little bit to allow you to ink without smearing. It's green. It has several different angles of ellipses, so you can draw circles in whichever perspective angle you happen to be working. I suppose the only thing which could improve it would be having more ellipses and angles...but if you need that, there are readily available sets of ellipse guides with any angle you might need.It works well. If you need an ellipse guide for general perspective drawing, this will do the job.

Great for teaching (& making) the perfect ellipses. Looking forward to using it with the perspective lessons I will soon be giving. The degrees represent the angle below the horizontal that one is viewing. I plan to do a chart for my students to explain this...the Ellipse Template will greatly help with this lesson. Will use it in connection with the cylinder in my ETA hand2mind GeoSolids, Wood Set.

Did not work for what I wanted, but kept because I feel as though it will be useful elsewhere.

So the product itself is great, but it was stuffed into the envelope and came completely bent. Basically unusable! Waste of money 😣
