Sleeping Above Chaos (Black Mountain) Paperback – January 31, 2024

Another winner from Ann Hite in the Black Mountain series. This was book 4 of 4 . . . please tell me it doesn't end here. I would so love to read another one in this series. I cannot recommend this series or Ann Hite enough. I am certainly looking forward to any others she may write in the future. You cannot go wrong reading this series . . . just start at the beginning.

I loved this book and the story it told. I'm sure you will find someone you can relate to in this cast of characters and you may even find a situation or two that you are familiar with. I love the spunk of Ella Ruth and was so happy when it could no longer be contained. Parts of the story made me sad, and the way situations were handled didn't always make me happy, but it was the way of the times. Ann Hite is a wonderful storyteller and I have read all the Black Mountain books. If there is another one written, I will be reading it!

Ann Hite can tell a story! You get woven into the intricacies of the characters lives and can't quit reading. This book is not about just one character. The reader begins with a mischievous boy, a lonely girl, a hateful man, and many secrets. It spans several years culminating in a very surprise ending...or beginning. You choose.

Sleeping Above Chaos is another fabulous work by Ann Hite. The characters come alive and you feel like you are there. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Southern Gothic. Can't wait to read the next book Ann writes.

It isn’t the same. Just off track compared to first 3 books. I dunno. people seem to like it. Not me. Odd,
