Fits very nicely, very secure, the clear plastic does pick up micro scratches very easily, but, thats the point of the thing isnt it. Its a very good product, and allows me to still see the cover plates on the 3ds. very happy.

Not much more to it.Gripes - Gotta play with it a bit to get it on. The tabs that secure it get stuck between the face plate and system. But that's not a big deal. Also, the bottom left hand tab is very easy to slip off. So if you're playing a game it's pretty easy to slip off that corner with your palm or wandering thumb.Other than that, it's a great case. Those cons are not really deal breakers if you're interested in protecting your face plates.I love how there's no hinge connecting the two pieces too. They're independent of each other and it adds to the sleekness of the console.I have a video on youtube, I'll go ahead and post it here as well.

I was one of the lucky few who ended up preordering the 20th anniversary pokemon new Nintendo 3ds. When I got it I was amazed at the beauty of my little 3ds but worried about scratches on the glorious cover plates. One quick stop on Amazon later I found this case. This seems to be the only case for the new 3ds since it's not an XL. After reading reviews I was hesitant but decided to pick it up because it was the only option available.It's two plates, one for the top and one for the bottom that snap on over the cover plates. I have a cover plate for my XL that is just one giant thing with hinges that works but this does not have that design.It protects the top and bottom well enough without giving to much bulk to it. If you're like me who has that lovely pokemon 3ds and doesn't want her charizard to get beaten up outside of battle this will do the job nicely.

The media could not be loaded. I thought this case was going to be better than the last clear case I bought. The last clear case I had last had hinges on it that eventually broke off on one side. This case doesn't stay on the 3DS. A slight movement from the side and it pops right off. I posted a video to show this (it's not the best video, but it gives you an idea on how easy this thing can fall off). In the video I only show the bottom piece, but the top piece comes easily too and it sometimes get caught and takes off the top cover plate.I have yet to find a good clear case that is easy to remove when needed and stays the way it is supposed to. It is possible that I just got a bad one. The only good brand so far is the PDP version. The PDP version I bought for my 3DS XL works like a charm. If you need one for your 3DS XL I would recommend the one Nintendo licensed one from PDP, which I believe is like $12.99. I'll continue my search for case that willwork well with this model of the 3DS.UPDATE:Although I can't say these same about the quality of the case, the customer service of this seller is 5 stars. Prompt replies and replacement of the previous case. The new one stays on a little better than the previous one, but the bottom end comes off easily still. The top piece stays on better and requires a little tug to come loose (that's a plus).
