Amazing quality!
We ordered 5 gallon bottles for our water dispenser. These are gorgeous and of super high quality. We were worried about damage during shipping. Nope!!! They came in one piece. Great packaging protection. The bottles are made in Italy not china. Grateful for the expansion of trade, now our money can buy higher quality products from other countries.LOVE, LOVE,LOVE THESE

Wonderful!
What a beautiful bottle. I bought it specifically to fit inside my 5-gallon cooler/dispenser and it fits perfectly. It's exactly the same size as the 5-Gallon jugs from the delivery service. Now, I fill it with my own tap water, but still have the hot and cold option at the ready. No big jugs to carry to the kitchen or empty jugs taking up space in our garage anymore. It's going to be a money saver in the long run and I won't be using plastic anymore!

Definitely worth the money!!
This product is absolutely fantastic and is exactly as described by seller. I consider the quality of this product to be “high end”, and the weight of the product makes it very durable and strong. I use this jug as my “vacation” jug as I put all of my loose change and dollar bills in it. I definitely recommend this product.

Nice Glass Jugs
I bought two of these glass jars in 2018.PROS: This is a nice 5-gallon jug with clear, thick glass with an elegant design feature. There are a number of different tops available online, I bought the press-on type that has a pressable tab for dispensing. To dispense the water I lift up the jug and invert it to dispense the water into 1 gallon jars for daily consumption. Which brings me to the cons.CONS:1. When filled with water, these jugs weigh approximately 42 pounds (based on the density of water) but it certainly feels heavier than 42 pounds. Of course, if the glass has the least amount of moister on it, it takes "considerable effort" to handle. I dropped one last week, which is why I am here today ordering another one, it was not attractive...(smile). At any rate, if weight is a problem, the 3-gallon jugs may be an alternative. There are also handles and dispensers for these types of jugs but I did not buy these particular items so I can comment on them.2. With the small mouth (about 2 inches across), it will be a bit of a hassle to the clean. I have two and I only fill them with reverse osmosis water so I do not anticipate such a problem.

Great purchase
Better than I expected. Good thick glass, and the top fits with any universal 5 gallon top. And it’s nice to know I’m not drinking microplastic soup

Defective
Item listing does not say these carboys are all defective, but seller confirms that they all contain 4-5 inch scratches in the surface of the glass on the bottom of them which is a result of a defect in the mould the glass was cast in.The seller is charging top dollar for these but they are not disclosing that they are defective - you are better off buying one of these from a local beer/wine shop instead of on Amazon, as they apparently support this dishonest business practice. The seller reassured me that the item still works as intended, despite the crack - however I see other reviews saying that the bottom breaks out easily, and if that happens this is not going to potentially damage your home or whatever building you store the carboy in, but can be a safety hazard as well. The seller says they will accept a return, however the only option they appear to allow is to package up the carboy, tape it and print out a label, and drive it 25 minutes away to a UPS dropoff location which costs money for gas as well as my time - which is more valuable than the cost of the item, for me.
