Diamondbanger's Dellight
This CD is basic, heavy, and very catchy. I'm a big fan of King Diamond's solo work, but on most of his CD's I have to listen a few times to really get into it (as I did with his Mercyful Fate disc "In the Shadows"). With "Time", however, I was able to get into it right off the bat. The songs are basic headbangers that have great hooks. I can't compare it to the early Fate stuff from the 80's because I haven't given those discs a good listen due to lyrics I'm not into, but I can tell you that this disc sure stands up on it's own merits without having to compare it to anything else. The album is outstanding from beginning to end with no filler, but my favorite tracks are "Witches Dance", "The Mad Arab", "Lady in Black", and "Time." I'd actually rate it a 4.5 if that were available. If you are a fan of King Diamond, later era Mercyful Fate, or just some good heavy metal, this is a must have for your collection.

''doesn't matter where you are...''
One of mf finest releases ever. And possibly the only one to reveal a but more emotional side of the vocal delivery and sound.Musically stellar with stabs at progressive and epic.Insightful themes that reveal a subject matter that could possibly be tormenting the band on a personal level in real life and they release the pain thru this music.

Solid release from the reformed Black Metal Kings
This is Mercyful Fate's 4th studio album (6th overall). A very good follow-up to "In The Shadows". I, for one, prefer "Time" over "In The Shadows". I do admit, "My Demon" has a couple of cheesy lyrics...but, this is a metal album, that's to be expected. I've noticed that "Time" has more of a Mercyful Fate feel than "In The Shadows"...there's more of a darker sound to the recording, much like the legendary "Melissa" and "Don't Break The Oath". Most of the songs here are 'head bangers' which I find myself doing in the car more often than not, when this album's playing. Some unexpected themes present-crooked preachers, an epic battle between angels and demons, and demi-god worshippers (The Mad Arab...packs a punch btw). The title track is a wonderful surprise, one of their best slow pieces, and a song that fits everyone. Also a surprisingly clean production (don't know if that's good or bad, but to each his own). A very good release that proved the Mercyful Fate reunion wasn't going to be a one-off deal. One of the better metal releases of the early/mid 90's

ALL FATE WORTH OWNING
i personally prefer mercyful fate over any of king diamonds solo material.not that his solo stuff is bad,far from it,i just feel that the fate stuff is "darker" and a bit heavier.i am also not a huge fan of the "concept" album, which most of king's albums are...anyway,the cd in question is incredible.very catchy, heavy everything you would expect from mercyful fate.in order of preference,i feel that this album is just behind the first two classics and IN THE SHADOWS.this album is full of inspired songwriting and playing.well worth your TIME(sorry for the pun...)

Amazing album from an amazing band. The Mad Arab, Time, The Afterlife, Witches' Dance and one of my all time favourite songs Lady in Black are the highlights of this album.

It's a nice record.
It's not one of my favourites, but it's a good record, a great line up and have really nice songs, such as Angel of Light, Witches dance, among others. The tittle track is great too. If you are beginning to listen to Mercyful Fate, look for the 80's records.

Mercyful Fate al top
Il disco è molto ispirato. Dopo Melissa è il migliore, secondo me, insieme a Into The Unknown.
