Great Blu-Ray drive.. Performs quite well!
Burned my first 100gb M-Disk with no problem. Appears to be working quite well, so far. My average 50gb BDs takes about 30 mins storing data files. Faster than I expected at around 4-6x speeds.

Seems to work well
Did not have a user manual. Other than that, happy.

F--- NERO! Drive good Win10
The drive works good. I love LG products. Not sure how they've evolved because the LG stuff I've gotten before lasts so I haven't needed upgrades. I know a lot of companies cut corners now-a-days, so not sure how lasting this drive will be. So far it works great. I'll update if anything outrageous happens. Now for Nero. The Nero essentials program mine came with are from 2012! It's for a 32bit Windows operating system. I found out because when I installed on my Windows 10 system it started hanging up my computer and I had to jump through hoops and folders to finally UNINSTALL it. One of the media programs that comes with it decided to make itself autorun without asking, and it kept trying to search for media files it could associate with, but it would hang up mid search and my system would stall with it. I did a restart, but guess what, when my system rebooted, this F-ing NERO PoS program tried to auto resume it's failed media file search. Finally I was able to UNINSTALL it, but it was causing and error during unistalling. I finally got this PoS off my system, but I'm still not 100 % sure it's not all gone. It tried to install an "ASK" toolbar on something. I'm guessing web browser, but I can't see or find it. So that might still be hanging out. And since there were errors on uninstallation, there might be dead files hanging out. Also, Nero auto installs itself where it wants, you can't tell it where you want the program. I don't like installing unimportant programs on my Windows 10(C:) system drive. I install everything that didn't come with my PC on a separate hard drive if possible. When I installed Nero, it just ran itself, didn't even ask "is this ok?" before installing. Once you choose install it just runs itself with no other input choice. If you have a Windows 10 system, not sure about Mac systems, I don't recommend this package. I recommend just getting the drive by itself, and finding a different multimedia program. I don't trust Nero after this fiasco. Even if they had a newer Win 10 compatible program, I won't get it. I don't like non essential programs that make themselves autorun without permission or a choice to install in a different harddrive location.

Pretty good and reliable reader/burner for multiple disc types including burning M-Disc
I ordered this as a spare so I have not used it and may not for some time. I have one in servive already and it works well.

Easy Bluray replacement
My old Plextor drive stopped reading/writing Bluray disks, and local stores seemed to be out of replacements. So I went to Amazon and found the LG 14x WH14NS40. The specs looked good, so I ordered the bare bones drive without software, as I already own Cyberlink software. It came with a Mdisk which I have not tried to record on but did load to see if it was recognized. Installation could not be easier. The drive had the latest firmware. I shut down my PC, opened the case, removed the Plextor, plugged the existing connectors into the LG unit after I slid it into the front of my PC. I closed it up and rebooted. It was immediately recognized by Windows 10 and my Cyberlink software. I loaded a new DVD movie and it started playing. No fuss no muss. So this is an excellent buy, shipped in a few days and the only minor gripe I would have is that the drive came in a small box stuffed with peanuts and then slipped into a padded envelope. But there was no sign of damage.

Great Blu-ray burners
I have bought three of these great Blu-ray burners in the past year and only had a problem with one. The problem was the SATA connector must have been damaged during assembly. It was promptly replaced through Amazon returns. A little hint If your looking to watch this Blu-ray burner player with commercial movies this software included will not play many. If your looking to rip, burn and play all, they are out there, but plan on setting out two to three big bills for the three pieces of software needed to back-up your library. I have tried just about all the best free to the most expensive and you do get what you pay for in this type of tool. To play on the PC I use PowerDVD 15 Ultra [Download] and Any DVDHD with BDClone Clone DVD direct. If you buy more than one of these re-writers you can use the same included software from one drive for all this same lesser priced model drive that don't include this software that is if it fits your needs.

The bundle is terrible, you get better prices and content buying separately
This review is only about the bundle. The drive itself is OK, but the extra goods are awful. The cable in the package is like 5 inches long, so if you have a regular tower case, you physically cannot connect SATA port on your motherboard with the drive. Wasted money. The software included is awful. It is 2-years-old version 10 while current version is 14.First, it cannot play the regular BluRay disks, like those N<a common DVD rental service name here>x sends you.Second, the player usability is terrible.* No keyboard hotkey to pause/resume the movie: to do this, you have to use mouse, and hit exactly the "pause" button - it won't pause if you just click a random place on the screen.* The player downloads ads from the internet to show you before the movie starts (that is, if you manage to find a disc it can play).* The size of read-ahead buffer is tiny, so if you pause movie for a minute and then resume, it plays for 2 seconds, then freezes for another 5 seconds while the drive is spinning up and then continues playing. Very annoying.Third, this is a "media suite", so if you want to upgrade, you have to upgrade the whole suite ($200+ to version 14) and no, you cannot upgrade just a player. Not just wasted money, but also wasted time and terrible experience.
