An "uplifting" product
I make my living with heavy equipment an this lift is a very well engineered product. I installed the lift myself on a 2007 Allegro bus and it was a pretty involved process to make it like a factory installed unit. Admittedly, I'm pretty picky but am very satisfied with this lift. That being said, the person that wrote the installation instructions needs to take lessons from the people that built the lift. They are mediocre at best.I also installed the garage enclosure which is very well made but the instructions for it were even worse than for the lift. Thank goodness for one overview picture. I replaced the 8 or 10 allen head set screws with nylon head set screws to allow ease adjustment of the framework which will sometimes be necessary.Keep in mind that this unit blocks the brake/tail lights on the bus. I'm custom building two aluminum brackets for 17'" LED light strips to be safe and legal. I'll be glad to furnish mounting info and picks at [email protected] for anyone interested.I bought this product sight unseen as I couldn't find much detailed info from actual owners.Again, I'm glad to have this unit but glad I'm experienced at custom installs. Note: I've hauled my bike several time with great results but have not hauled sense installing the enclosure. Anxious to see how it performs in the wind at 65 MPH. I'm also glad to be able to watch it on my rear view camera. Afterthought..... the built in receiver hitch works well and has ample clearance for towing my jeep wrangler.

Not the lifting experience I wanted.
Purchased a Hydra Lift for my RV so I could use my Can Am Spyder when traveling. so many things went wrong with shipping (lost, absent parts, rude company people, no solutions) that when I finally got all the parts it was months later. Now for the lift itself…..DON’T BUY THIS LIFT UNLESS YOU ARE CAPABLE OF MODIFYING THE METAL SURFACE. It is so slick that when you back your drive wheel on top all it does is spin due to the torque in reverse. I added some ‘sand tape’ that I bought at Home Depot. Totally unimpressed with this company as they really care little about the customer or their product.

Time consuming process, but straight forward
The media could not be loaded. I like the ease of loading and unloading My Harley Ultra. This is a very well built strong piece of equipment. I added the additional lights on the loading dock to compensate for the fact that the motorcycle can block the coach lights.

Very poor customer service/ Not a well engineered platform lift.
Hydra lift is very expensive. Would you think they would provide excellent customer service for this price? Well, forget about that. Their customer service is one of the worst in the business. They are flat out rude. I bought one of their platform lifts for a can am spyder. Its design sounds good, but the engineering leaves a lot to be desired. If you buy one, be ready to make a lot of modifications to make it work right. Ours is one that lays flat for the Can Am to ride on ( or golf cart for the matter). When you arrive to your destination, it’s suppose to be simple to unload and fold the lift up to verticals position (fitterally straight up and down. That is impossible to do by yourself. It requires you to actually lift the from the back of the platform to the up position with the two of you doing this. The platform is 86”x63”. Yes it is aluminum but it also has steel framework. It is extremely heavy. Then of course when you are ready to leave, you have to put it back into the horizontal position. And yes there is hardware you need to remove and reinstall every time.If you are looking for a REAL PAIN in the arse, buy this lift.
