An Excellent Choice!
Great multi purpose rod - as a 5'4" woman, it can be difficult to cast with a 9' fishing rod. This one casts like a dream, even in the wind! Strong yet lightweight, sturdy but still flexible, and sensitive enough to feel the merest nibble on the end of the line. I highly recommend this excellent salt water fishing rod.

Great multi use combo
Best combo for the money, great for salt and fresh water. Real nice. Getcha one.

Has option for new ugly stick rod, but that's not what you get
Ordered two of the same rods from same place, received them on separate days. First one had minor damage and does not have the new ugly stick rod which was an option I picked. Over all its a good looking rod, and I guess it's like the saying " you get what you pay for!"

Good value
For the money this is good. I've been casting 3oz weights and heavy bait easily, seams better than other combos for this price. this is a good first surf rod, or spare.

I love this combo for surf fishing here in Cali, paired with 20 lb Berkley Big Game, it's a great set up for big fish like leopard shark and bat ray, I would highly reccomend this to anyone.
