I always amend my veggies beds when changing over with Down to Earth Organic Humic Acid. I was told that when you use it you will not notice anything happening, which is true. This product works really well on the growing and finishing of a vegetable, especially lettuces, cabbage, brocolli etc. The humic acid helps especially well with heading up cabbage heads so they are nice and tight. Humic acid also works really good with sweet peppers. I amend the beds a couple of times through the growing season. It seems to help the sweet peppers have nice thick walls. First, it's important to understand what this is for. Humic and fulvic acids help chelate nutrients and minerals in your soil, thusly making it much easier for plants to uptake them. It's especially benefit for soils that are compacted and/or alkaline as both will lock soil nutrients from being consumed by the plant efficiently.Now, with that said, you get a lot of bang for your buck here and it works well, albeit slowly if top soil dressed since it takes time for the pellets to break down.For quicker action and more even distribution, I recommend dissolving it into water first and then applying. I do two tbsp per gallon of water.You'll also want to make sure you're wearing gloves while handing the pellets. They're black as night and will leave tons of residue on your hands.

On time just what I ordered

I have given 5 stars but actually have not had visible results yet. After doing research, I have very good expectations this product will provide the soil loosening my large 50 year old boxwood shrub sorely needs. I don't want to disturb the soil surface, but due to drought and excessive heat the soil is now compacted and doesn't accept watering. I feel this product Down To Earth Granular Humic Acids will be tough enough and gentle enough to loosen the soil for better watering so I can get some fertilizer down to the feeder roots. For years, I relied upon mulching with leaf litter which as it composts has its own humics, but unseasonable winds blew the mulch away. I don't want to use more flammable materials so the answer to me seems to amend the soil, and then dig in a good compost. At any rate adding the humic acids will be overall beneficial.

… and the seeds came up in a week! Planted late because of the cold spring. Plants are growing fast! Seem so happy! Added a little of the humic acid and a little worm castings dirt, mixed with the soil and done. I also apply pelleted alfalfa a couple of weeks before planting and let it get distributed by rain.

Granular humid acids are an excellent natural and organic way to provide plants and soil with a concentrated dose of essential nutrients, vitamins and trace minerals.
