Alpha: Eddie Gallagher and the War for the Soul of the Navy Seals

Great read. This book doesn’t hold back and presents the facts, both good and bad. I’m glad to know there are true SEALs out there that are loyal to their oath, not just the brotherhood.

Excellent reporting on an important story. The dark side of the military and loyalty, war and politics.

I knew about Eddie Gallagher. Not from Fox, but from mainstream media, primarily the New York Times. I read about his court-martial, but not the full backstory. This is a comprehensive, gripping account of the efforts of heroic SEALs to purge a cancer in their midst. One of the best books I have read this year. Deserving of awards and accolades. You will be stunned but satisfied to find that heroes do exist.

I found this book to be a very good read on a very difficult subject. The clarity of the writing, the expertly researched facts and story line keep you engrossed through the entire story. A must read if you want the truth about Eddie.
