I’ve waited years to have a way of making a clean opening to eat a soft boiled egg, and this is a success. It’s easy to use and cuts clean through the shell. Sometimes the white of the egg is still in place but that adds to the joy of eating and discovering the soft yolk underneath. No gritty bits of shell in the egg anymore. Fabulous !

We have 2 Egg Toppers and both are the same design, however this Egg Topper is the best of the 2 as the inner rim cutting edge is nice and sharp and only needs one gentle hit to make a cut in the egg shell.You will see in the pictures I am using a small very thin bladed knife to enter the fracture and cut the egg top off. I have no problems recommending this product as you can see it does a fantastic job as long as you are gentle with it.

Bought this for my husband who loves soft boiled eggs but doesn't like egg shell.Works really well and is easy to use. My husband is really impressed. Good value for money. Simple but effective and sturdy.

It stops me burning my fingers and makes a clean cut off the top of the egg

The top is on a spring. First attempt completely shattered the egg. Will need to have a few goes to judge how far to extend the spring.
