Q: Can this be used on carpets then vacuumed up? Furniture?

It works on carpet, but, does tend to clump a little. I wait a little longer to vacuum the carpet than I do with the hard surfaces. I have not tried it on furniture. I think it is a great product!!

Q: Do you use the whole can or sprinkle just a few ounces per vomit episode?

You just need to sprinkle enough to cover the spill, vomit, etc. It is really good stuff. It expands as it absorbs the liquids.

Q: Has anyone used this with a pet porch potty? Does it hold the liquid for days?

This product is designed to absorb spilled liquids like vomit, blood, urine, and so forth. It will absorb the spilled liquid and turn into a hard paste that should be swept up with a broom after a few minutes and disposed into the trash bin. There is no need to worry about days here.
