I love the pattern on moth sides of the mat, it is almost exactly as pictured, I will say that the darkest blue moons in the moon cycle are hard to see on the actual mat. The mat is super long too and very comfortable- it feels very high quality. I will say it does have a chemical smell upon opening it but I won’t dock any points for that as it’s to be anticipated with a product like this, I just let it sit in the open air for a couple days and the smell was gone.

I am absolutely in love with my new Gaiam Yoga Mat! The print is gorgeous and really adds a fun pop of color to my yoga practice. The extra thickness makes it incredibly comfortable to practice on, even on hard floors. The non-slip surface is fantastic - I never have to worry about slipping or sliding during my poses. This is a great yoga mat. I love that it is double sided with 2 different designs. It is thick and very comfortable and the quality is amazing. I highly recommend, not just for the thickness but the beauty.

The mat was slippery the first time I used it. I guess it didn’t help that I sprayed fabric refresher to help get rid of the chemical smell & forgot to rinse it off. I bought a Yoga Design Lab hand towel to place at the top of the mat and it worked great. The towel didn’t move and absorbed any sweat from my hands. Even though I rinsed the mat off, I didn’t want to take a chance on my hands sliding around again. I thought the hand towel was a bit expensive, but glad I purchased it.

It was time to upgrade the yoga mat from the basic cheapie I picked up at Wally-world ages ago. I wanted something with a little more cushion but still provided stability for standing balance poses, nice to look at, and provided some grip. It achieves mostly what it says it will do except when it comes to grip. The design on both sides is beautiful (I got seaglass). The cushion is supportive without being flimsy when balancing. My knees feel better when on the mat and no longer need the knee cushions (which is great to not have to reposition and move in a flow practice). Does it stick to the floor-- sure does. Does it help me keep my grip on the mat-- sorta. It works great until my feet get slightly warm. I am not even sweating, but the minute my body temp goes up a degree or two my feet are sliding around. Would i like to be able to do the splits again some day-- sure thing.. But I don't want to while i am holding a high lunge. I have been using the mat daily for 2 weeks and have been enjoying it minus the starting to slide halfway through a practice.

I've been using the Gaiam yoga mats for years now. They last a long time and come with really beautiful designs. In this one the silver moons are a little shiny. I thought it was a nice detail. Overall a very comfy mat. Not a fan of the initial smell but it is easily removed with a wipe down. Offers great support for inversions and grips well with no sliding for positions like downward dog.

Third mat I tried. Others were too thin snd sticky. This one is perfect thickness and doesnt stick to my feet

This yoga mat is so beautiful. All of the prints are so pretty but the one with the sun & moon was my favorite. The mat is sturdy and comfortable, I have used it in several classes since getting it. It does not leave any residue or pills when used like some other, cheaper, mats do. Overall great product!

It took a long time for this mat to air out. I can still smell it when I’ve got my face close up to it. It is a comfy mat tho.

When I first got the mat I was allergic to the chemical in the product and after multiple washes the matwas reuseable, however after only using it for a few months it is starting to chip pieces of rubber off themat. The product was recommended by a yoga instructor but mine is defective. I am very disappointed in it and would not recommend GAIAM to anyone. Also it is not EXTRA THICK as noted in the info.
