Ignition Key Switch 87-17009A2 87-17009A5 for Mercury Outboard Motors Remote Control Box, 6 Wire Key Starter Switch 3-Position Off-Run-Start

I am working on a 1985 Mariner 40EL that hasn't run in 20+ years. First crank it turned over a few times then died. Got this 1 day later and it was plug and play with the controls and works very well. This mariner is made by yamaha so the wire colors are slightly different, but it matched up with the old ignition so I just swapped them one at a time

Lost the keys to the boat, so I had to get a replacement ignition switch. I'm glad I did because we found all kinds of loose wires. This works fine and starts my 2001 XR6.

Works well, wiring seems solid, but connectors don’t seem cheap and hold pretty snug, the choke tend to need a good bit of pressure to get it to actually send the signal to choke

Was having problems with the starter on my boat and traced the problem to the switch. Wiring was color coded the same as the original switch. Easy to replace and delivery was quick. I would buy from this seller again.

This switch was a perfect fit for my 2017 Tracker pro 175TF with a Mercury 60hp fourstroke ELPT motor,it matched wire color of my stock switch,fit in dash panel without modifications. Great price
