Seems to work well on records
Ever gone to pull a brand-new record from its sleeve, only to have to pinch it with your grubby digits to get it out? No matter how carefully you handle it, it always leaves prints on your fresh, clean vinyl and a bad taste in your mouth. Well I have news for you! It doesn't have to be like that anymore! A few seconds of attention with this handy-dandy device and your latest acquisition will slide from its sleeve as easily as slipping into your favorite blue jeans!I was looking for a static solution. I had seen some DIY piezo static guns, but didn't feel like building my own. I was looking at the Milty, but it's $100, gets mixed reviews, and seems to wear out eventually. Then I came across these high-voltage static guns. I picked one in the middle and paired it with a cheap cordless desk duster/vacuum as some had suggested. It seems to work great! My next move is to set it up near the turntable so I can hit them right before play and try to get every bit of annoying static off them. Being that it's winter and the air is dry as soda crackers, I should be able to get a real good idea of how well it is going to work, but my first few experiments have been very positive.

You'll never believe how I use this thing
I use this ionizing air gun setup along with a XPOWER A-2 Airrow Pro Electric Air Duster, also on Amazon, to blow ionized air over my albums to get rid of static electricity. It works. I've got about as much in this setup as most people have in a ZeroStat gun and this works every-single-time whereas the ZeroStat is finicky and just doesn't work right all the time. I love this thing! I am going to buy another one for my garage, because that's where I do the occasional computer work and getting the static out would be a great peace of mind.

Best static eliminator for vinyl albums
One of these plus a cheap air blower gun (the type sold to replace air cans) to fit onto the plastic tube costs less than the little static guns that typically break in less than a year. With a nice little air gun attached, this will blow off the dust while eliminating more static in 30 seconds than the little static guns could handle if you pulled the trigger for 5 minutes. It has a power box you will need room for but if your turntable is on a component rack it will hang out of the way nicely on the back or side until needed.
