GREAT HEADLAMP, if it would stay on! 😩
I’ve purchased this headlamp at the Harbor Freight store in town here for my boyfriend. Love it, and the $ is right. It gets used and abused a lot!! Works GREAT! Just have to change the batteries every so often. He uses it mainly at night to lock down our chickens at night. I purchased a set of the headlamps on Amazon and one didn’t work, so I emailed the company. I don’t think they messaged me back, but I did receive a set unexpectedly in the mail. Thank you so much......Neither one plus the original one that didn’t work, still DON’T WORK!! I was messing around with the headlamp during the day today and found out, if you squeeze the two sides of the battery housing, it seems like the battery get a better connection and it works great, until I let go, and it shuts off. Seems like a manufacturing issue or poor quality control. A rubber band tightly around the battery housing seemed to work, but I’m not sure it’s a safe solution. Not sure what steps to take next........I would highly recommend because it’s a great headlamp.

Great headlamp great price.
The wide and even light is exactly what I wanted. High and Low with strobe(not useful to me) set with a push of the single button. The head band is comfortable for long wear. I'm not sure how long the batteries will last. I'm still on the first set that came with the light.

I do not recommend this product
The battery enclosure design is flawed. The battery cap does not push the batteries strong enough for proper contact, and often the headlamp does not come on without having to adjust the internal metals with some pliers so that the metals can touch the batteries. It's a time consuming hassle. I do not recommend this product.

Mine did not last well at all.
Seemed to be an electronic problem. Instead of staying lit, the bulbs seemed to fail and would not relight. Great product if it lasted longer than a few hours.

Ample light, when it works
Let's face it, you're not going to get a premium quality headlight at this price. And I have to say, the light from this one is good and plentiful, when it works, if you like a floodlight rather than a light you aim (or the more usual flood-with-hot-spot).Note the qualifier: "when it works."The problem is the battery box design. It looks like it belongs on a dollar store no-name plastic flashlight. It's down to two tiny contact points along the rim of the battery cover, each about 4mm wide. They have to transfer the battery energy to the light, and they just aren't quite up to the job. They're not springy enough to make good contact 100% of the time.To see the problem, look at the photos. To keep the light on, those two little shiny metal tabs you see have to stay shiny and clean, and solidly in touch with each other. So you put your Izoom headlight in your toolbox or a kitchen drawer for 6 months or so. Moisture and grunge in the air will sneak in, and those contacts will oxidize a bit. They won't be able to pass enough current to keep the light lit. That's what causes the odd momentary light and then darkness when you switch it on.You may get some light, for a while, if you twist the battery cover a little, then hit the on button again. It may also help to clean both contacts with a pencil eraser. A little electronic contact cleaner / preservative is not a bad idea, either. You can buy such stuff here on Amazon, or at a local electronics store. If all else fails, take a penknife blade and gently, slightly pry up both of the contacts described above. That works for me -- for now.Regardless, I don't recommend counting on this light to be there for you in an emergency. I tossed one in my car's glove box. I left the regular flashlight there, too, though.

Great soft light
Very nice soft light. Much better than narrow beam headlights.
