Great if used according to the application that is referred to in the comments below
These are the best and longest lasting toe warmers. Every once in a while you will get a dud. Always allow to be exposed to air for like 10-15 mins before applying to your socks. For best comfort and results use on top of your sock and not bottom and place them on the part of the foot that has a lot of skin surface area before the toes. There is more blood in this area of the foot and the product will warm the blood and then that warm blood makes it to the toes due to circulation. You will not feel the pressure of the warmer on your foot as you would if put in the bottom of your foot. The instructions should state that and then more people would be much happier with their Grabber Toe Warmers. I would have given a rating of 5 if there were never any duds in the 16 packs I have bought and used 10 so far.

These absolutely saved my Colorado ski trip in which I was mostly outdoors in zero to five degree weather with snow. I took the advice of other reviewers and let these sit out opened up for the 45 min drive to the ski resort. The toe warmers swelled up when they got really warm (before inserting) and I had to squish them back down but they didn't burst or anything. The first day they lasted about five hours and the second day was even colder so I had some extra warmers waiting in my coat pocket to insert after my lunch break. So with two sets of warmers I lasted for 7 hours of ski time in zero degrees. I have been skiing for 25 years and ALWAYS have cold toes about an hour after getting outside, even in much warmer conditions and this is the first year I haven't. I will continue to buy these!

makes a difference!
Little did I know when I purchased these toe warmers for our ski trip, that my husband had bought battery powered socks already. Day 1: below zero. Tried the battery socks. Froze! Day 2: below zero. Forget the battery socks! Wore thin socks, with one toe warmer stuck under my toes, and one on top of my toes, then a heavier pair of socks over that. My feet were sweating! At lunch, I completely dried the socks on my left foot & removed the toe warmers; while keeping my right foot just as it was- wet with 2 warmers. Didn't take long for the left foot to freeze.Long story short.... I wouldn't cold weather ski without these again! My toes are ALWAYS cold anyway. The warmers have an adhesive strip that you attach to your sock. Product is thin enough that you won't even really notice it in a ski boot. You can wear it either under or above your toes, but one warmer per foot is enough. My toes were still a little cold, but not frozen & uncomfortable. And they really do last all day.

Pretty good
The price on this pack was great! The product itself is tricky to use. I have chronic cold feet and whenever I hit the snow or hike in cold weather I like to have these on hand. Although I find if you put it in your shoes right after you open it, it wont work. I find you have to wait 10-15 min to let them activate in fresh air before putting them in your shoes and for that reason they lose 1 star. I have purchased them for years and will continue to buy them, but wish they worked a bit faster. They last for about 4 hours in your shoes, outside of shoes they only last about 1.5 hrs.

Awesome!
Love these things. If your feet get cold, these things work great. Open the package, and stick them on either the top or bottom of your sock (I prefer the top, it feels a little odd to me with them under the balls of my feet), and let them go to work. They'll slowly warm up, and keep your feet warm for many hours. Since they're air activated, you can stop the reaction by putting them in an airtight baggie, but they don't seem to work quite as well after you pull them back out. Don't get them wet, though, that will kill them.I've used them when hiking/snowmobiling in Yellowstone in the winter, as well as hiking about Yosemite in the winter, and they've worked great for me. The hand/glove versions are awesome as well.

Cold toes are the worst!
Whenever I snowboard my toes are ALWAYS cold. Even if it isn't that cold outside, my toes always get numb and tingly. These toe warmers are great because they're sticky on one side so they won't slide around your foot, they didn't slip around my snowboard boots at all. However, when I only put the toe warmers on the underside of my foot, I couldn't really feel the warmth and my toes got cold. Later in the day, to get ready for night skiing, I put warmers on top of my foot as well and that's when I REALLY noticed a difference, and my toes weren't cold for night skiing at all, when it was around 19 degrees Fahrenheit. So follow their diagram and put warmers both on top and bottom of your foot!

Wear 2 sets really really helps out.
I am always cold. Saw these and I had to have them. I initially started out with just a set under my feet. It wasn't making me super happy, so I added a set to the top also. And....perfect. Keep them slid forward on your toes. I was happy as could be. Are they burning hot? No. But you don't need burning hot. FYI these stick to your socks, not the shoe. I was worried about them coming off when I put my shoe on because I don't untie my shoe, but it went well.

They come in small size so they dont take too much space in the shoes and keep my feet comfortable while warm
My feet are always feeling cold, even in summer. I dont know how many pair of these life saving toe warmers have i used during my trips to japan snow festival and iceland, and bought them again for alaska. They come in small size so they dont take too much space in the shoes and keep my feet comfortable while warm. Wearing merino wool socks is a great way to keep feet dry and warm as well. And my advice will be wearing larger size shoes in winter especially when you go hiking, as our feel will swell as we walk during the day, and bigger size will leave enough space for our feet and the toe warmers to work properly.

Just OK
They seem to be OK but not overly warm compared to others I've tried. Maybe because the others were full sized and not just toe sized. Or, maybe the ones I tried a bit of a dud, I only tried one pair. One thing I can saw is that I found them uncomfortable to walk around in. Perhaps the next pair will be different, if so I'll post it here as an update.

Always a good investment for those dog park people out in the cold.
