It works for most, not all.
The 1/2" drive holes work but need to be moved an additional 1.5 inch outwards or add a 3/8" boss to allow a breaker bar to fully seat in the square hole when used on a full circle flanged yoke. If the tool maker would just tig weld an additional piece of the same material with a matching square drive hole.. then this would be a 12 star tool in any mechanics special tool drawer!Otherwise, the quality is excellent and very well made, and that's what got it 4 instead of 3 stars.. fix the drive holes and this thing would be 4.9 stars over 10,000 reviews, guaranteed!

Works perfect on a GM 10 bolt & 12 bolt
This tool works perfect when torquing a pinion nut. It bolts to a gm 10 bolt & 12 bolt and you can use a 1/2" drive or 3/4" drive breaker bar with it. It sure beats trying to wedge a bar in the yoke and keep it from dropping on your head while you tighten the pinion nut.

Real stainless, real tough.
Had this delivered overnight to help me with an AAM 12-bolt 9.5" differential on an '18 Tahoe. We could not get the crush sleeve to crush, and I didn't want to bung up the yoke or ruin the bolts by giving it any more uggas nor duggas with a prybar between the driveline bolts so I called a timeout until we got a proper yoke holder. With this on deck we successfully ruined 6 pinion nuts trying to get that **** crush sleeve to buckle, which it never did, but this yoke holder held strong using the 1/2" square drive hole attached to a 4 foot breaker bar chained to the frame, and heaving on the pinion nut with a 6 foot bar until nut after nut left their threads behind on the hardened steel pinion, as well as a few rounds with the 3/4" pneumatic gun. The square hole is slightly less square than when I took it out of the box, but not within a mile of rounding out, and again I stress, we put a LOT of force on this, way way more than your typical pinion nut will ever experience. Plus since it's stainless (real stainless, magnet doesn't attract to it AT ALL) you don't even need to make room in your toolbox, just drop it on the ground until you need it again, it won't rust!My advice to any of you shopping this tool while working specifically on a 2014+ GM 9.5" rear end is this: Take the axle off the truck, use a press to assemble the pinion stack in the diff housing, put it back on the truck. That's how the build them in the factory, and you will never, ever get that crush sleeve to buckle without hydraulic force.

Had to modify it to work with Ford 9.5 Differential
This tool served its purpose, but it had to be modified to use with a 2016 F150 pinion yoke flange. The distance between the largest holes that would accommodate the pinion flange bolts was too narrow. I had grind away part of both holes between the red arrows to elongate the space so that both bolts could be threaded into the flange. Also the tool is not large enough to clear the flange. This creates a problem when a 3/8 or 1/2 breaker bar cannot be fully inserted into the tool. I had to stack washers behind the tool to get enough depth for the breaker bars socket to be fully inserted. The tool won’t break the bank, but it’s not ready to use out of the box with a 2016 Ford differential flange.

Perfect fit for a GM 7.5" 10 bolt axle
I changed out the ring and pinion and this was a savvy buy. It fits a variety of axles and I had no trouble getting it to fit the 7.5" GM 10 bolt on our '84 El Camino. The center hole was perfect to accept the 1 1/4" socket. The 1/4" plate held the 1/2" extension bar while I loosened the pinion nut. It can also take 3/4" drive extension bars.It also held the pinion in place while I crushed the pinion spacer using a heavy duty impact wrench to set the pinion preload.Great buy if you are servicing or upgrading an axle.
