Always go for quality construction!
Generally, very pleased: a very high quality product made from heavy gauge & well finished stainless steel and solidly assembled, from the layering of steel to the finished Blackwood handle to the rivets securing all of the above; the only getting-use-to I have is the size (a bit small for my hand) and the spring-loaded return of the 1st-stage lever (a bit intense, requiring a finger to hold it in place on the bottle lip until leverage is applied) - not a deal breaker, just a need for some getting-use-to time! All in all, a very fine corkscrew - the competition has very poor attention to assembly details . . . thus, the extra expense of investing in this quality of corkscrew is definitely worth it - and frankly, how many cheap corkscrews does one want to buy & fight with in a lifetime?!

good wine key
I bought this to open bottles tableside as my old wine key had a dull knife. I'm not super impressed with sharpness of the new knife but its curve and length are helpful. The spring loaded lever is actually quite nice. The corkscrew itself feels less heavy duty than my previous wine key but I haven't had any issues with it so far so maybe it's made out of a stronger material. Overall it's nice looking and lightweight and suits my needs.

Great for service industry workers!
Amazing!! This is my second one after almost 8 years and the only reason I has to buy a new one is because I lost the first one!!Durable, elegant and simply gorgeous. If you work in the service industry, this tool is a MUST for you!

Great Solid Wine Key
After watching and trying a few different wine keys, I stumbled across Coutale Sommlier. These are definitely better quality than the basic ones out there. They work well and feel good in the hand. The double hinge is cool and helps keep it sleek. Solid weight and grip.

Quality Waiters Corkscrew
Fantastic purchase. Beefy waiters corkscrew that easy to use. Doesn't bend or falter at all. Will buy a 2nd one to keep in my travel bag. Probably get a different color!

Best value waiter's friend available
This is the best waiter's friend corkscrew I have owned, and I have owned and used a great many different ones. First of all, this is the only sensible type of opener for wine bottles. They generally come as either expensive 'Sommelier' types or cheap copies. Most of the expensive ones are superb items which are easy to use and a pleasure to own. The cheap copies do manage to do a reasonable job of opening bottles and certainly worth having instead of most alternative types of bottle openers. Somehow, the Coutale manages to be one of the expensive high quality openers but at a price much closer to the budget items, and is therefore extremely good value for money.I have had many waiter's friend type corkscrews over the years and in recent years have replaced most single action ones with the folding two stage type (double lever), like this opener. I always have several, which are in different rooms or taken on trips (even to friend's houses where they still have rubbish corkscrews for wine.) I often end up giving them to friends when they see how much easier a double lever opener is to use, which is why I do own several of the cheap openers. I manage perfectly okay with the cheap openers (currently available on Amazon), but none have that extra feel of quality, not just the materials and finish but the way they are tightly put together yet fluid and easy to use. Whilst I am happy to give away the odd cheap waiter's friend, in the hope of educating friends not to use the objects they currently destroy corks with, nobody is having my Coutale opener. I am sure the even more expensive 'Sommelier' ones are equally as good but they do cost considerably more for the same quality.

The Best Corkscrew Ever
My son was given one of these at a wine tasting day. I tried it and t was so easy to use that I decided to buy one. I have used it now for a while and it is brilliant. No broken corks no matter how tight they are.No bruised or cut hands from slipping,No spilled wine from uncontrolled removal of the corkBest of all? My wife, who has never previously successfully opened a bottle of wine, now uses it all the time.I have thrown out all my other expensive and useless corkscrews in favour of this one.Buy and enjoy

Great size! Great to use! Cool design
Love the knife and worm. The hinge is a tad low and so the second pull can be tricky. Still way cooler than the average Pulltap or knockoff waiters corkscrew.

Blade is right-handed only
It looks cool, the design is cool, and it's well made. So let's see...The bottle opener (like the two-stage mechanism) is ingenious -- actually unlike all others I've ever seen or used it opens 'backwards', i.e. you pull the bottle top towards you to open it. Okay, why not?The two-stage mechanism isn't particularly intuitive to use -- the arrow seems to point the opposite way to the way you actually press it -- but you can work it out.Somewhat over-efficiently opens a bottle of wine -- first time I used it the force of the vacuum was so great that it sucked wine out of the bottle and splashed the kitchen work-surface. You wouldn't want that on your white linen tablecloth. I have never spilled wine upwards out of a bottle while opening it before! Will try a gentler approach next time. It shouldn't have any trouble with even the stiffest corks. But the reason "I don't like it" (two-star rating) is that the blade for cutting the metal top off wine bottles only gives a neat finish if you use it with your right hand (which I can't). Otherwise it's upside down and makes a jagged, uneven and unclean cut.

Quality product - great price
The best cork puller I have ever used - buy with confidence. The double action beats the singles every time! Quality and ease of use both excellent. Makes a great present for your wine loving friends - they will definitely thank you for one of these.
