Will this shattered if dropped?

If you are asking if the glass is tempered, I don’t know. The mirror is glass. So at some point, if dropped from high enough, it will break. I’ve dropped mine from about 3-4 ft. Without incident. Of course it fell into linoleum and not a hard surface so it’s not really a true test.

The frame around the mirror is an inch thick. This is the best portable mirror I have ever bought; (clarity is great on both sides)

Is it a two-sides mirror?

Yes it is a 2 sided mirror. 1 side is a reg & the other is magnified. The magnified side is 7x's stronger. I love this because I wear glasses & it make everything clearer when I have to take them off. It is worth buying! It is a great mirror!

Is this mirror free-standing or does it need to be mounted/attached to a surface? Any assembly or tools required?

It can be free standing. It can also mount/hang from a screw or nail on a wall. There is no assembly required. The pivoting mirror will stay in a set position, at least for the first 6 months or so. After that it starts to get a little loose.
