A good read
A book that I wished to finish in a day but took me longer. Enjoyed it.

Brilliant first in the series
I downloaded this book because it was free and I do enjoy courtroom thrillers however when I started to read it I thought I was going to have to give up. The first few chapters I did find confusing, the different names of family members that were difficult to pronounce and it did seem to flip from one timescale to another but I persevered and I’m so happy I did. I enjoyed it so much I read it in just a few sittings, I just couldn’t put it down. Daniel Mendoza is extremely likeable, kind and considerate even to the plaintiff but is like a dog with a bone getting to the truth of the case. If you can get through the first few chapters then you’ll agree it’s a great story

Gripping and emotional read!!
This one is definitely a slow burn with a lot of subtle hints and little details throughout, leading to the culmination of the legal battle. The writing is incredibly detail orientated so if you prefer an easier read, this may not be the author for you. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the growth and depth in this story.A gripping and emotional read and I look forward to future works from this author.

Good
From pageantry to progressive disaster, at speed. Then you watch the ball rolling, not knowing which pins it will hit and what damage will result.

Very poorly written
Awkward dialogue and stilted writing made this a difficult read. Not a bad plot but very poorly written. Disappointing and has to push myself to finish
