Where has this been for my entire career?!
Im going to give this a 5 star only because of its uniqueness, simplicity, and the fact it does as advertised. Thoughts: the tool is kinda thin and I was worried it would be flimsy, but in using it it's pretty sturdy and consistent so I'd call it budget in terms of quality. But it does exactly as advertised and my knuckles and fingertips are grateful. The value of this thing is entirely in the functionality of the tool. I'd say compared to other tools of a similar price point it's the cheapest feeling tool in my box, for a higher price. but as stated above its reliable and works really well! It It makes installing the cage nuts an absolute breeze. It feels kinda clunky at first but once you get a rhythm going you could install cage nuts for a whole rack in 1/4 the time. The one fail point I found was if there's a lip in the way of the hole (like where you'd install these for vertical rails in some racks like sysrack) it's absolutely useless. But on standard rails it's a godsend. Again, 5 stars goes entirely to the uniqueness and functionality. I won't mark this down that it won't work with ubiquiti nuts because it literally says right in the description and specs that it's not compatible. It's a nice tool to have and it's a nice conversation piece for fellow data center engineers

Pretty darn good cage nut tool
I do not know about "world's best," but it certainly makes my life a lot easier. Certainly better than trying to install cage nuts by hand, and being able to remove or install cage nuts from the front of the rack is convenient.

might not work for old builds - for new setups this is good
it just works. A good buy

Great tool but...
This is a great tool but doesn't work in APC Netshelter Racks.

Great tool for pesky cage nuts
If clearing racks or building up new ones, this gem handles all compressible cage nuts with ease. On large rack cabinets with utility mounting holes, the tool may be hooked into a hole for safe keeping or temporary placement between use. Group is comfortable, action is smooth, seems suitable and rugged. A few casual tumbling drops from 2-4 feet to concrete floor hasn't affected mechanics or handling - I don't recommended frequent dropping and YMMV, but so far has been a welcome tool in the kit. Highly recommend!

Work with cage nuts without the headache
It works great. It gets in nice and tight, inserts and removes cage nuts easily. Works better than most tools I've used before.

This is a must have in my network tools bag.
I've been doing network engineering for over 30 years. I gave one of these a try and loved it. I bought two more and left with my junior engineers during my last network upgrade. I have used several different "best cage nut tools" - that either don't work or are just as good as doing it with a plain flathead screwdriver. We all know how well that works and have the scars to show it. As mentioned, I've bought 3 and gave 2 away to my workers. This is the best, hands down.

love it but its not made to last
I bought this and yes it's amazing and work great when it was new, but my biggest issue is the material. I come from the automotive background and tools are life and anytime there is a tool I want it because it makes life easier, the biggest thing is quality you want something strong that handle the day-to-day use. Unfortunately, the internal mechanism material is weak and bends sometimes cage nuts are tricky or need that extra squeeze unfortunately the way it's design (after taking it apart) there is a circle hinge/joint that the weak metal that is used. The joint expands, causing the actual range it can squeeze a cage nut to become less and less to the point it can't even install anything. I've taken pliers and bent the joint back to restore the range to work like new, but less than a month it does it again. After around 6 moths of fixing the issue, the metal final became fatigued and broke. Great tool idea but poor choice on material, why not make it inside mechanism same material as the outside shell who know I hope they release an upgraded version don't mind paying more if it's quality and last more then a month without me having to troubleshoot and fix the tool.
