It works
After several soaking and a little research,I purchased this to put into my self watering setup. It works!!! Very easy to install.

Required to reduce the house water pressure to 25 psi.
Elegant and straightforward, too simple. I suggest that you mark a point of depth on the 1/2 inch irrigation tubing before you insert it into the end, or else you might not know how far it is in, and if it's not enough, it will fail.

Cheap product breaks after one month
Bought 2 of these products and installed one of them a month ago. It’s on a timer so it literally just sits there. No pulling or anything. Came out to check on it and saw that it had completely broken apart. I guess it can’t handle the sun? Super annoying that I have to find an alternative now. Even more annoying that the return window past. The second one just got set up a week ago and hasn’t been running yet. I’m sure it will break too if the other one did.

Must have parts for tape irrigation.
Well made essentials for drip irrigation. Use some plumbers grease for better sealing.

Great for its intended purpose
Do not put shutoff valves downstream of this. It relies on flow to regulate the pressure. I put one of the head of each 1/2" irrigation tube. My thinking is, it might even out the pressure enough so I can irrigate accurately with a timer. It's certainly cheaper than figuring out some sort of setup with wireless moisture meters and individual relays...

Works as Expected
I bought this to reduce the pressure for my drip irrigation system watering my fruit trees. It provides a good pressure to the drip lines around my 7 fruit trees. It does not leak. It works as expected.
