Fovitec StudioPRO Photography Studio Lighting Clamp with Spigot

As I already posted the same review on the same product from a different vendor: "Clips on the gooseneck are sturdy and well made but the actual flexing gooseneck is barely strong enough to keep the other clip in position, ... if you clip anything else on the other end it will sag. I bought a same item from two different vendors hoping that there may be difference ... there was, but it was only the price ... product quality was same ...

Needing clamps to hold up some vinyl backgrounds I recently purchased, I came across these and thought I would give them a try. True to its name, the clamps are heavy duty and do a great job latching onto the background. I was a bit weary at first as the orange part of the clamp (forgive me, I can't think of what it would be called) is ribbed and I was worried would either tear or leave a mark on the vinyl, but that worry was unfounded as the clamps have proven to be very gentle on the surface. I do wish there was a bit more clearance as the clamps barely fit over my backdrop bars, but they still get the job done.

Now, just to be straight on this, I did NOT get this because I am a photographer. I got this so I can attach a scanner antenna to just about anything on a temporary basis. It may end up having some use for shooting video but this will get the antenna off the scanner and a little higher up. Great product! Seems well built and sturdy.

more bulky than I expected, my fault for that. I've been looking for a double-ended clamp for something to clip a small flashlight to my painting easel to do outdoor night painting. This came close, nice grip, but a bit too heavy and the goose neck is not that flexible to point the light back. Will have to keep looking.

The clamp is really sturdy and strong. I had planned on using it to attach to my easel and clipping a paper picture of the item I want to paint so it's right next to the canvas. But I think I'll also be able to clip my iPad right next to my canvas because of how strong it is. I almost cannot pinch the clamp to open it.

Seems to be built OK, but the bendy part won't hold up a 2x18650 flashlight.

Exactly what I wanted. Sometimes you need a third hand around the house. It's light, the bottom clamp is a size that will fit on a countertop. The top clamp is a perfect fit for a small flashlight that I own. Very pleased with this purchase.

I actually bought these for Taekwondo kicking practice to hold either xrays or possibly foam boards. Definitely worked for the lighter X-ray sheets and I believe it would hold up fine for foam boards as well.
