The Army Painter - GameMaster: XPS Scenery Foam Booster Pack

Disappointing product and not true XPS material
Found this product very disappointing and it is not true XPS foam material but something else that is covered in a white paper skin which does not hold impressed fine detail as true XPS foam does not hold detail and even if you peel the paper skin away. For a product so widely available globally it boggles the mind that it is so difficult in the UK to source true XPS for model making. This is fine for terrain boards but not for fine detail and best to avoid this if you want that in your creations

Foam is prone to tearing and not work ready
Foam has a tendency to tear and rip if cut with an knife due to the surface texture grabbing. The edges are not flat or right angled forcing you to trim the pieces before working with them honestly a dissapointment considering the price point.

At last
This XPS -foam is quite difficult to obtain locally, so it's nice to see Army Painter distributing it in the modelling mainstream.I haven't used it yet but it seems to be the real McCoy !

Happy Crafting
Great potential with this product. But I found the top layer very shiny, not good for paint and inside is a bit like paper pulp. My Halloween project. I used a mixture of knives and tools to cut and carve into shape. The Gamemaster spray didn't get in all the gaps. I live in Ireland and the spray took over 4h to dry I just left it overnight.
