These M series are a little better sounding than the cheaper ones from Monster
These M series are a little better sounding than the cheaper ones from Monster. But forget about it. If you have a pretty decent system, try Audioquest Optilink-5. It's not even close. The Optilink-5 is even better than a thousand dollar co-axial cable I compares it with. The newer Diamond might be similar, but very expensive. Those that say digital cable all sound the same don't know what they are talking about. If you have not compare some of these cables in a high end system are missing a whole lot.

Good transmission of signal
This top of the line Monster cable is well made with good connections that are substantial. These cables transmit an excellent optical signal that results in good sound. Although the connections do not fit as tightly as Monster"s RCA cables, the tight fit is probably not as necessary because the signal is optical (light) transmitted through the center of the cable. In contrast, RCA cables require a tight contact.

Better than I thought
This cable is amazing. I purchased it with my Turtle beach DSS2 surround sound unit to replace the default cable which was extremely thin and made of cheap plastic. I was more than pleased with the quality of the audio and the construction of the product and it was better than described. The ends of the cable are very sturdy and will not break / bend. The cable itself has a good amount of insulation, which makes it harder for animals to chew them. Cons: I didn't notice a immediate audio quality difference compared to the original cable, but I only used the original cable for 4 minutes because I wanted to try out the better cable.Notes: Later I tried the original cable and compared the quality, and sure enough the monster cable was far superior.Making the only con nonexistent. Make sure to test the cable you have currently a lot before switching to the monster cable, that way you notice the change in audio quality.

Better sound through better cables
When tranfering sound from TV to external speakers , I've been told that fiber optic cable is the best possible transfer .Because I'm a big fan of Monster cables ,& the great quality they deliver , I did some research and chose this cable . The performance is great !

Monster M850 DFO-8 M-Series 850 Toslink Fiber Optic Audio Cable
Own many different digital cables for different interfaces, this is by far the best toslink optical cable I've seen, solidly built and works like a charm.Update: After Use it for one year, for no reason the connector at one end some how popping loose and it seems a little bit hard to push back...

Big Difference
I definitely saw a big difference when I connected this cable to my new Bose CineMate GS Series II home theater system. I read about it on one of the reviews for the CineMate and glad that I bought it.

I love this optical cable I use it with my Sonos system to connect to internet music servers and works fine, good transmission keeping the quality of sound. I do recommend this Monster Toslink. I have been using these cables for several years now without complains

Great cable
I bought this cable for my Samsung TV and PS3 to eliminate this cracking sound that kept interrupting my movies. I heard that fiber optic cables were great for sound quality and I’d thought I would give it a shot and so far after I installed this cable I haven’t heard the sound again.
