I had bought this for my husband and son to use during ski season, to keep nose and cheeks sunburn and wind chap free. I bought myself my own for the summer because it is so handy to keep in my bag for nose, ears, and especially scars or tattoos that you don't want to get to much sun. I find the smell and consistency fine, doesn't run or drip and washes off face well when you get home.

Have used Dermatone for years. I live in the high desert and spend a lot of time on the mountains. I have never come across a better product for skin protection. It's a great non-greasy sunscreen but also protects from the wind, be it cold or hot. This stick is a very convenient way to carry and apply to the skin.

I live and play at high altitude in a semi-arid area with harsh winters and increasinly hot summers. I probably have 18 different lip and sunscreen balms. Some taste and feel good, but don't last and have to be reapplied multiple times a day.If a product absorbs into your skin quickly, it's not getting the job done against harsh elements - especially combinations of water, wind, cold, and sun. Dermatone has never failed us, winter or summer. While I honestly don't much care for the scent, taste, or greasy feel, the only thing that truly matters is it's never failed to protect me from sun and wind burn and even frostbite. As an avid skier, I won't use anything else.

I have used this for couple of years and like it so much that realized I needed a subscription so here I am. Even though it feels oily in the face, i really don’t care because I am using it for protection and to feel safe every time I go outdoors.

It's the same product as the one they discontinued- the chunky lip balm in the push up tube with the yellow cap. Thank you God they still sell it. I've been using this for over twenty years. It is the ONLY thing that keeps my lips from drying out and chapping. FIVE MILLION STARS. BUY IT. HOARD IT. I plan to.

They changed the inactive ingredient "Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract" for "Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) seed oil". Somehow the feeling is different even though the active ingredients and the rest of the inactive ingredients are the same. Maybe the inactive ingredients have shifted proportions too.

I have used this product in many forms. This oversized stick is great for my lips and face to keep them protected on cold windy new emgland winter days while being outside all day in January and February. Always have a stick in my ski bag, my truck, and my ski jacket. Love this stuff!
