Solid product. Literally exactly as described.
All you can ask for in a downriggerr ball.I use it for King Salmon, Steelhead, Coho, Brown Trout and Lake Trout out on Lake Michigan and this ball works excellent. I like the aerodynamic design. Less blowback. I wish I would have bought two when I bought both my downriggerrs because I recently had one fall out of the boat so I bought this as a replacement for the first one but I'm tempted to just get another one of these and have the round ball original I bought turn into my backup.Excellent product.

Bulky unit for 12 lbs because it a cast iron product.
But I knew this was going to be bulky. They serve the purpose well enough. If you want to spend the money then go lead for much smaller size. I run 2 and can get to 80 ft deep. The coating is excellent. I lost one so ordered a replacement that was poorly packed and the eyes were knocked off in shipping or were packed that way. Reordered replacement. Hoping for the best. Otherwise unit is adequate so not really complaining.

Best Price I've Found
This runs through the water well and is enough weight to get your line deep quick while being fairly easy to crank up manually. I have the 6lb weight and it is great for lake fishing allowing me to catch bigger fish at depths. I typically drop it to 50 feet deep and it doesn't take long but I do drop it with some resistance in case it pulls my line off, this has never happened so far while dropping the weight. It should work on any downrigger as most clips could fit through the hole. I searched all over Amazon and this was the best deal for the 6lb weight as I would not need much more for lake fishing. Some weights I found were actually more expensive than this one even though they weighed much less. Shipping did not take long on this item. Fits my needs perfectly with the best price.

Cannon ball
Just as advertised. The loops are lager than some bigger units,so easy to clip on line. Best price around. These things have gone through the roof.

Seemed good
Seemed to be of decent quality but didn't have it long before down rigger cable snapped and lost the ball. I will buy another one to replace it.
