Genuine product, works good.

The original thermostat on my '02 Outback 2.5 decided to switch to a 213 F opener after 230k. Not enough to move the temp gage, but enough to constantly turn on my cooling fans, even though radiator air flow was cool. So, it was either the thermostat or the TCS(temp control sensor). I gambled on this and problem was cured. Only wanted to do once, so the risk of an aftermarket AutoZ cheapy was not an option.Sometimes money and time saved is done by using the more expensive part.

It has been months now, and no complaints. Works as it should, and it gives me peace of mind. Temperature remains right in the middle , and it never moves. Perfect OEM replacement. Previously, I used a non-OEM replacement, as advised from an independent shop, and it only lasted a few weeks. this is the thermostat you need for longevity and peace of mind.

Can't really say much it's oem it works, OEM can't go wrong.

After 210k the engine the original thermostat moved on to the next lift. Got a "OEM" thermostat from a parts store and it wasn't even close to the same shape. Tried it anyway and still had an overheating issue.Ordered this one and holy hell it was Subie OEM and worked perfectly right out of the box.Hope to get another 200k on the engine before I need to replace this one

My WRX takes at least 4 minutes to heat up to the right temperature
