Air Innovations Black MH-602 1.6 Gallon Cool Mist Digital Humidifier for Large Rooms Up to 500 sq. ft

I like this Air Innovations MH-602 MH-602-BLACK. I have had mine for 5 years, no problems. I like it much, in the last 18 months I have purchased 3 of them for family members who live out of State. With Amazon, I order it and have it sent directly to them. I have gotten excellent feedback each time someone receives one. I highly recommend this humidifier.

This humidifier is quiet, easy to clean, has a large capacity reservoir (1.6 USG) and features a humidistat that accurately measures and controls output. If you need or want one that produces a medicinal or scented-oil vapor, look elsewhere. But, if you just need to increase the moisture level in a room, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The media could not be loaded.  10-28-2020With the help of Amazons great customer service i was able to contact the distributor of the humidifier. After they made me jump through hoops sending half a dozen pictures and screen captures. Then requesting i cut the cord ! I was assured they would replace this faulty unit. I hope they do as it's starting to get very dry around this time of year in Maine and these humidifiers normally do a great job of keeping the environment comfortable .10-26-2020I purchased this second unit after more than two years of successful use of the first one, the second one started out fine but today less than 2 months after receiving it from Amazon it went haywire beeping, lights flashing and no matter which button i press it would not stop. I unplugged it and when i plugged it back in some 2 minutes later the display is now dead. That was an expensive 2 months use ? The first one lasted 2+ years and worked flawlessly this one just 2 months !!!!! Contacted the manufacturers to claim on the warranty, so far no reply ?I live in Maine which believe it or not has extremely low humidity this time of the year despite having around 7' of snow on the ground. In fact my home is so dry my skin starts to itch incessantly. Having purchased a Home Depot special about 2 years ago i realized the need for consistent control of the moisture content of my home. A few days ago the old unit died and rather than spend time and money trying to get it fixed i purchased the 1.6 Gal. Cool Mist Digital Humidifier. It arrived yesterday and after unpacking i filled it with water and turned it on. What a difference from the old model This unit is very powerful and has two independent nozzles that can be aimed at any 360 degree horizontal angle. The 1.6 gal tank is enough to last me 24 hours on full power, twice as long as my old unit. It has a very handy handle which helps support the 13 1/2lb weight of the water full tank when filling. Controls are great having four mist power outputs, Auto off and a very useful LED Humidity display. The unit is silent which makes it great for use in a bedroom . I always place my Humidifier near my Orchids and can now aim the mist to cover the entire collection. This keeps them in perfect condition while keeping my living room at around 40% .Update 05-17-2019Well after more than two years constant use and more than 400 gallons of distilled water i think this humidifier is about to die, it has started to make a strange whirring sound every time i refill the water reservoir . I am very happy with the unit and consider 27 months of non stop use quite good for a machine like this so will defiantly replace it with a similar unit from this manufacture.Update sept16th 2020Well at last the old model died and i reordered the exact same model, plugged it in and away we go. Compared to the old worn out model this one is silent. Looks the same performs the same but silent. It's amazing what you can get use to ?

This works great for my bedroom. If you use RO, reverse osmosis water, put 2 cups HOT tape water in tank along w ro water. Works perfectly. Love the built in humidity level n no water shut off. Great humidifie at reasonable price.

I got this humidifier when I contracted bronchitis. It has been flawless so far. We have soft water, so there's none of the white powder people complain about. The only downside I can see--although it's not a problem for me--is that the container cannot be filled from the top. It has to be carried to a sink and filled from the bottom, and when it's full it's heavy.

Do not buy this! I read the reviews before I bought this humidifier and am very sorry that I did not listen to them. We barely had this humidifier for 6 months when it started leaking for no reason. And by leak, I mean it almost drained the tank at random times. During these 6 months, we did not use it on a regular basis; and when we were not using it, we completely drained all of the water out of the tank and base. When it first leaked, I took everything apart, gave everything a good cleaning and scrubbing and put it back together with a full tank. I kept the humidifier turned off on my kitchen counter so I could keep an eye on it as I went about my day. About 2 hours after reassembling the humidifier, water began spilling out of the base and all over the counter. It was crazy! It was like the trigger got left on and allowed the water to just flow out of the tank. I again, took everything apart, drained everything, cleaned it, then put it back together. This time I put it on a towel on the floor so that if it leaked again, I wouldn't have water running off my counter and around my appliances. It didn't take it long before it started leaking again. When we contacted Amazon, they referred us to the manufacturer. When we called the manufacturer, we were told they wouldn't do anything for the warranty, that we had to go back to Amazon for the warranty help. We've called 2 more times and consistently get the run around. This is an expensive humidifier for something that only works for 6 months.

Very happy with this humidifier. It’s quiet, easy to use, and I’ve ran it daily for a year without any signs of slowing down. My only complaint is the “tank empty” alarm is obnoxious. It’ll chime for 20-30 seconds and will do so about every 5 minutes. This humidifier REALLY wants to let you know when it’s out of water. The frequency of alerts is annoying, but luckily they’ve built in a silence feature to prevent beeping when the tank is empty.Also, I’ve discovered that if you don’t use the 360° nozzle you will get a pool of water surrounding the humidifier. I’ve seen a comment which reported leaking, but I noticed in their picture that the nozzle was missing. Not to say their device wasn’t leaking, but I suspect that omitting the nozzle may have been their problem.UPDATE: After owning this humidifier for a few years, it did in fact start to leak. I have tried cleaning, replacing the filter, and even silicon greasing the gasket, but cannot stop the leak. It’s no longer useful to me, and recommend you purchase something else.

It’s smaller than I thought, but also quieter than I thought.The display is pretty useful, and I like the auto cut when reaching a certain humidity. Also like the auto start/off function although maybe it’s not that intelligent to be adjusted for Alexa or Google Home.It helps improve the humidity in our apartment, and quiet, and for now we used several times it doesn’t encounter issues (yet?).It’s better than I thought, hope it can be robust enough to be used longer.

We love our humidifier...our plants love it too! We have one in our living room and you wouldn’t know it was even running if you didn’t see the mist, so quiet!! My mom now has 2 of these in her house!

Very quiet. It is a cool mist type humidifier. I like the fact that there is some de-mineral pellets that keep the unit from corroding.

This little unit is keeping my guitar room perfectly humidified! Awesome unit!

Didn’t work after a week
