I've been doing my own gel polish with builder gel sets since 2013. I was really loyal to a certain set from a box box beauty retailer, but they changed their formula a year ago and I had to start looking for another. I thought that was one great, but my nails would still chip on the corners or break and I really didn't think much of it. I tried a few off brands on Amazon and felt they were a downgrade and really difficult to soak off. I finally found this Gelish kit and I am in love! My nails are long, healthy, and this polish is strong enough to keep my corners from chipping! It soaks off well, which also contributes to a more healthy nail, and it doesn't peel on the edges (so that I don't peel the edges more...)! I'm so impressed that I just had to write a review about it. The kit is reasonably priced and the bottles are large. I'm not sure how long they will stay potent given their full bottle size, but I'm willing to replace as frequently as needed at this fair price. Don't waste your time trying other kits, just get this one!

I keep trying to find a brand that will replace these and I keep failing. This is a go-to-brand for a reason. Each product has a very specific purpose. First the PH bond dries the nail for better adhesion. The foundation preps the nail for color and prevents color staining. The top coat is heavy duty, it protects and shines. Lastly, the nourish softens the cuticles. This set is not cheap, but it is worth every single penny. Will make gel nails last a good month or longer if well taken care of.

Excellent product. I no longer have to pay the higher prices in the salon to have a professional looking manicure. This kit is easy to use with step by step instructions on the package. The individual bottles are larger than those you can buy in the store (Walmart, Sally's, etc.). The Gelish bottles in this kit are .5 oz bottles vs the .3 oz minis if you buy a kit in-store.Please note, you still need to buy Gelish color polish and a UV light, but I purchased an inexpensive light for around $30 from Amazon, and it works GREAT! This kit is easy to use, with easy to follow instructions.To remove the polish, you can soak your nails in a Acetone polish remover, or I use a cotton ball and wrap each nail in a small piece of foil for about 25 minutes, and the polish is easily removed.I've only been using this kit for 2 months, but I LOVE it, and ordered another kit so save for later.

This set is a good investment! Especially compared to the other gel base and top coats that I've used in the past (that usually came with kits), these just feel like quality. The bottles are large and sturdy, and the bristles of the brushes are the perfect length and thickness for an even and smooth manicure. The gels glide on easily without being too runny, and they cure quickly and stay glossy.The ph bond has definitely boosted the longevity of my manicures, and not just for gel. When I prep the nail bed properly and use this stuff, I can go weeks without the lifting around the edges I had just accepted as my fate because of my thin nails. It works with my dip powder, too.The cuticle oil has a noticeable scent like essential oils that I find pleasant, and it quickly revitalizes my cuticles after the damage of filing and soaking in acetone.I have used this gel with other gel brands, dip systems, acrylic, and regular polish to seal it in, and it always works well.

This was my first "gel" experience. I bought the light, bought this set and then bought a few colors. This might be a teeny bit picky but the directions are written SO TINY that it's nearly impossible to read. I had to look online at how to use. The only negative I have is that if you don't get the products right down into the cuticle creases, you'll have tempting little ridges that just BEG to be picked at. I can't stand any little snags or other kinds of areas that stand out on my manicure. I'll pick at them until I end up peeling the whole application off of my nail. So that's my advice. Take your time, use sparingly (not too thick) and try really hard to cover all of the nail bed or you'll be tempted to pick and peel at it like me. Other than that, the finish is super shiny and does last a long time.
