Works to use 3.5mm jack headphones for chat on PS3.
This works, but doesn't work, though not the fault of the adaptor. As it turns out, with the Sony PS3, you won't get both game sound, AND chat ability, even with this adaptor. What it does is allow you to use your 3.5mm jack headphones split for a PC, in the USB port of the PS3. The microphone portion is what will work and allow chat, but to get game sound, you will need to pull the sound output wires on the PS component cable for the TV, and get other adapters to get game sound. A convoluted mess, is what it becomes. Thankfully, they rectified this on the PS4, finally putting a 3.5mm jack in their controllers. Headphone sound is a definite plus in games of stealth, or shooters, match making. TV sound or sound bars don't give you that directional feel. "Ooh, there's someone off to my right, now behind me". You will also have to go into your sound settings in the console to activate the chat ability.

Solved my High Pitched Frequency problem
I purchased this for a microphone I had purchased. The sound adapter that came with the microphone would cause this high pitched frequency to ring whenever I tried to record audio with my microphone. I combed the web for a solution to my problem, but no matter where I searched nobody had an answer to my problem. I was concerned I had wasted money on a microphone that doesn't work, but I decided to try and replace my audio adapter. I chose this one over others because of the price, the simplicity, and the functionality. I have no complaints about this sound card, it completely solved my problem and it maintains the high sound recording quality that I want. I hope anyone else who had this problem with their audio sound adapter sees this review. Any HIGH PITCHED FREQUENCY coming from your recordings can be solved by changing out your current audio adapter for this one! Great product, good price.

Simple audio adapter for PS3
Bought this for my son for his PS3 to use a generic headset while gaming. Change some settings and hook it up right and it works fine for him.

Works great
This device is plug and play for the Raspberry Pi. I plugged it into my USB 3.0 hub and it was immediately recognized by the system and worked without even a reboot required. Sound is pretty good, especially for the price. I haven't tested the microphone input so I can't say anything about that.

Works for what I need it for!
Despite the lack of room on the back of my tower, I used a USB extension cable to plug it in! Works beautifully! I'm enjoying this item, and making constant use of it! I just hope it doesn't break on me! I hate not having sound when on my PC! Overall, it works great, and I have zero complaints!

Faulty? Not worth the headache
Was looking for something cheap/generic to replace the onboard soundcard. My Windows 10 computer would recognize it and then it doesn't. I rebooted the computer and it worked until I had to reboot again. Too much of a hassle to save a few bucks.
