Incredible value for the price -- and I still returned them
I have nothing but praise for the Toric 10x42. If I need any other optics I will again have Tract offerings automatically on my final list. That said I returned these for a refund. I auditioned them against Zeiss conquest that were being offered at an incredible price. I used my two-glance test. If you need to go back and forth 4, 6, 8 times to confirm a quality difference between two binos, the difference must be so slight as to be potentially irrelevant. When my eyes compared these Torics to the Zeiss, I detected a slight difference in clarity in low light on the the first comparative glance and confirmed it on the second. My test was looking at tree bark about 20 minutes before sundown with the test tree about 60 yards away and well within the forest. Yes I could detect a difference (Zeiss better) BUT the difference was not great. Would it ever make a practical difference in actual bino use? Not sure. But going with the strategy that you buy the best you can afford, I went with the Zeiss. Yes I understand some will say this was an unfair comparison. the Conquest are $200-500 more expensive. I was willing to pay for that slight difference but as everyone else who reviews binos says, the added quality per dollar falls off very quickly once you get to a certain point in quality. I think these Torics are that point. I only auditioned the Torics for a few days but I found every aspect of the Torics build quality to be top notch. Though I returned them, they are very impressive and as mentioned, I'll always check the Tract offerings from here on if I am in need an a high quality, and high value for dollar option.

Great Binos. I tried several and ended up keeping these. Free returns and great warrantee!
I compared these with several binos. I actually ordered and returned them so I could compare them in real world situations instead of just in the store or parking lot. Here are the ones I tried:Leupold 10x42 Mojave BX-3 Pro Guide HD ($700 MSRP). - I really wanted to like these the best. I found them on a killer closeout sale and they fit my hands really well. However, they just weren't that clear at the edges. They also didn't bring in anywhere near as much light in low-light situations. They were actually the first ones to be eliminated from the running. I still love my Leupold scope though.Vortex 10x42 Razor HD ($1000 MSRP) - These were close. But not quiet as crisp. I actually tried these inside a store and I could almost read the 12 point font on a 8.5x11 piece of paper across the store. However, they were almost $400 more than the Tract binos and just not quite as good. I also hated the shape of the Vortex binos. I'm sure someone with no nose will love them (I don't have a big wide nose . . .).Cabella's Instinct Euro HD ($1200 MSRP) - These were nice. I think the did out perform the Tracts in overall light gathering but only marginally. The Tracts seem to be sharper though. I also really didn't like the diopter on the Euros. It was tricky to adjust accurately and could easily be bumped while performing regular focusing. They are also pretty heavy. . . so at 2x the price. . . they were out. (Although, I have heard of these occasionally showing up in the Cabellas Cave at $400-500 which would be a great price.Tract Toric 10x42 - So I saw the Outdoor Magazine article. I wasn't convinced. However, after using these (and I did compare them to several other Euro brands inside a store) they are amazing! The crisp image. Sturdy construction. Reasonable weight. All sold me on giving them a shot. . . but their low light functionality are what sold me. I could look deep into shadows and see detail that none of the others I tried (under $1000) could do. Granted if you get into the $2-3,000 range you'll get better binoculars. . . lots better actually. . . however, I can't afford that and these were actually a stretch. The only downside I see to the Tract stuff is that it is a new company. However, given the value/cost ratio. . . I can't see how people won't snap these up like crazy. They offer the best warrantee out there (no registration or hassle!). It wasn't that long ago that a 'new' company by the name of Vortex popped up. . . so with high end glass being produced around the world. . . it makes sense that someone would start seriously competing on price (the people at Cabella's and Sportsman's Warehouse that looked through these were amazed at the quality and didn't believe the price).Bit of a rant/ramble. Hopefully it helps someone trying to deicide.UPDATE:I've taken these out hunting 2x now. They perform incredibly well in low light. I couldn't be happier. I actually wish I'd ordered one of their scopes now (I like my Leupold but. . . these are amazing).

Incredible binocs
Excellent binoculars. Clear views an great in low light. Well worth the investment. Only complaint is the lens caps fit too loosely on the binocular body. One fell off and I lost it like the third time out. Need to contact company for a replacement. Will tape then on in future!

Tract binoculars
I waited a bit for this review to allow use. I have and do own high end optics but wanted a pair of binos for my son to use during hunting season that were better than your cheap big box store but not 1000 dollar binos either. I have used this Tract multiple times this summer all the till dark watching deer movement and switching back and forth with 2 more expensive binoculars and I'm extremely pleased with the Tract. In fact I'm purchasing a Tract scope based on these. These binoculars punch way above their price point, outstanding for the price. If your saving for a better binoculars you won't be disappointed.

High Quality, Top Notch
These are great binoculars. I owned the Leupold BX-3 Mojave Pro Guide HDs and was looking for an upgrade. I purchased the BX-4 Pro Guides as well as the cheaper Vortex Diamondback HDs, borrowed a friend's Vortex Viper HDs and tossed in the BX-3s to do a real world comparison and return the losers. The Tract Toric UHD was definitely the best in all lens performance categories in my opinion with the Vipers being a close second. There was a noticeable difference in low light transmission, clarity, and color that put the Toric on top. Ergonomics are great, pretty standard for this style of binoculars. Eyecups are smooth and keep their position. In my opinion, these are the best value binoculars in this price range. Don't spend the money on the alpha glass stuff. It's tempting if you have the money, but you don't need it. Put that money towards a good scope or a better gun and buy these binoculars. You won't be disappointed. At nearly $700, these aren't budget binoculars, but I feel like they are competitive against more expensive options. I do wish they came in another color besides grey.

I'm satisfied with the product so for
Recently purchased the Tract Toric10x42 binos and used them on a Wyoming hunt. I'm satisfied with the product so for. The glass and function is flawless. To truly test them ask me again in 10 years. I realize this is unrealistic but prefer to judge them against time as this is a life time investment.
