The adult bibs became a quick necessity due to ongoing illness in our home and constant washing items stained from food. The ones we ordered fit just about any size person, cover beautifully and wipe spots off the bib with little trouble. Q: Is the tie long enough to keep it tied and just slip over head to put on?

I didn't try that. I snapped the plastic snaps around my husband. If tied enough to slip over head, food would likely fall on person. I put plastic on outside, fabric toward body for easy cleaning.

Q: What are the dimensions of the bibs (length and width) in inches?

I measured 31” length x 22” wide, and also 22” long from below the chin to the bottom. I hope this helps. My brother has had a stroke recently, and now has a hard time eating with a spoon or fork. These bibs have sturdy snaps at the neck, and also at the bottom where they fold up to make a nice crumb-catcher to catch food that falls. There is a waterproof layer on the back side. He is very pleased with these; I just ordered him a second set. It has made a big difference is his self-esteem in the dining room. They wash up beautifully too.

Kind of like plastic-y like a baby bib. Easy to wipe off or stick in the sink.
